Total Pages: 264,454

Goal end date: June 10, 2018 (about 2 months)
Current book count: 19
--The Yellow Sofa "... stifled by the heat and out of breath through rushing from Black Horse Square ..."
--Something Childish But Very Natural (p 199) "Oh, nothing--go away," and she turned and ran across the street into a square and leaned up against the square railings--and hid her face in her hands.
—“Rabbit” in Sunshine State (p 291) The room is tile and partitioned off in the middle by a curtain separating her space from her neighbors.
—A Cook's Tour: Global Adventures in Extreme Cuisines (p 177) My room was more white tile, a central floor drain—as if the whole room had been designed to be flushed with the press of a lever.
Read a book with a board game on the cover or in the text
--Fun House (p 187) ...It didn't really matter whether he was a success or not at this hour of the night. And actually, it was fun.
--Something Childish But Very Natural (p 202) Oh, well, --perhaps if I disguised myself as an old man we could get a job as caretakers in some large house--that would be rather fun.
--Fun House Met cute. Dated a couple times. It was fun.
--Fun House (p 187) That's her strategy or whatever, at least up to the finals.
--Black Butler, Vol. 1 (p 62) Next is the natural turn.
--"The Tomoshibi" from Other Voices, Other Vistas (p 338) Unless we find someone who will take turns with you working late, you'll get too tired.
--The Boscombe Valley Mystery There was no rest for me, no peace, no forgetfulness; turn where I would, there was his cunning, grinning face at my elbow.

Anyway, I get that:
MC means Main Character.
Shelved means readers have put it on a public "shelf" with that label. (Where are these listed?)
When you give a link to a list, the chosen book must be on that list.
Words "in the Text" means anywhere in the book.
But:
I'm guessing Tagged is like other internet tags, but where do I find the tags for each book? Are there tags for every book?
I'm also fuzzy on MPG. Does that mean that the GR page for that book includes the word in question on the list on the right, labeled GENRES? Whether or not I agree, correct? And how are Tags different from Shelves different from Genres?
On any single challenge, can a book only ever be used once? I'm asking because some of these challenges have so many, often complicated tasks, I don't see how I'd ever complete them. (Of course, I'm excluding Scavenger Hunts here.)
And as long as I'm here, when a challenge uses covers (for colors, an object in the art, whether it's "ugly"), can I "shop" for the cover I'd like to use in the Other Editions list, or should I use what I get? As I often request from my library, I never know what edition I get so it's hard to hunt for valid titles.
Thanks for the remedial help
[If a reference would help, I'm mostly looking at the Humor Challenge, but others too]

5/31: That’s everything. But I had to move some choices around to finish on time, so I still have Cat's Cradle on my pile. Soon.
4/6: And speaking of FUN, it seems appropriate that finding FUN completes my first task.
--Ready Player One ... I'd received a bonus for my accent and inflection. I felt myself relax, and I realized I was already having fun.
--I Was Amelia Earhart It was fate and it was funny and it was making her angry.
--Now We Are Six And he sometimes likes to do it in a funny sort of squeak.
--"The Tomoshibi" in Other Voices, Other Vistas Although she was replying seriously, it still sounded so funny that the customers would unexpectedly burst out laughing.
--Nuclear Jellyfish First off, @$#% the word blog. I hate it, and all who use it. LOL. IMO. Introspective yet spunky.
Read a book with the word "hilarious" in the text.
--Aunt Dimity and the Widow's Curse"... but to find myself the victim of a practical joke Will and Rob could have seen through is beyond demoralizing."
--The Hippopotamus "It isn't a joke, Clara."
--Charlie All Night "Don't joke about Allie. It annoys me."
--Moby-Dick
--The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse "What was that?" Jack asked Eddie. "Only a clockwork clown," said the bear.
--Nuclear Jellyfish CD I like clowns, and super-f#$ ladies on the beach.
--Bite Me Marilyn Manson needs to be dragged to death behind a clown car.
--Fun House The brightly colored building looks like a three-story-tall clown castle with striped turrets topped off with colored pompoms: jolly birthday party hats jutting up against the sky.
--Charlie All Night ...but then the rest of the people began to come out of the narrow hall in front of them, one by one, like clowns out of a toy car.

I'm fuzzy on some of the rules. Do I get a +1 for every book I borrow or read online? Also, can books be used for multiple tasks (i.e., if there were a lot of vegetables mentioned in the book above that is used as the E in TREE)?

Also, for this one, should we confine all comments to a single post, or keep adding anew so the times (etc.) are recorded?

Pair 2:
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day 3/20 --

I didn't see this until mid-way through the month, so I'll probably be pulling out those extension cards. Meanwhile, let's see where I am.

I know you've got tons of these to track, but just wondering.
Thanks
