"The Prince" Any hero that approaches, lures, or kisses the heroine on a balcony. any book where the protagonist is name "Harry" will also count.
"Prince Charming" Read a book where the hero is a duke searching for the "right girl"- for whatever reason - to be his bride. Or any hero named William or Mike.
Prince Phillip: Look for a hero betrothed to the heroine at an early age, or before he has even met her. Or read a book where the hero is named Phillip.
Prince Eric: Read a book where the hero is a sea captain, or is saved by the heroine, or is named Eric, or Christopher.
Prince Adam, also known as "The Beast": Read a book where the hero is a shape-shifter, scarred, or a redhead. Or arrogant, self-centered, and spoiled at the start of the book. Or named Adam, or Robby.
Aladdin: Read a book where the hero is - or once was - a street rat, orphan, thief, or comes from the "wrong side of the tracks". Or is named Aladdin, Scott, or Brad.
Captain John Smith: Find a book where the hero is a captain, or exploring a new world. He is one of our few blonde heroes, so you can look for one of those, too. Of course, a hero with the name of John or Mel
Captain Li Shang: He's is a Chinese army captain, so any of those characteristics will count, but so will any hero that is too "by-the-book," putting his duty above his feelings at the beginning. A hero named Li, or with the initials B.D, or named Donnie will also count.
Prince Naveen: Find a hero that is a playboy at the beginning of the book, or who is visiting New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I'll also allow it if he lives in a swamp. He can be named Naveen or Bruno.
Eugene Fitzherbert , better known as "Flynn Rider": Read a book where the hero is knocked unconscious by the heroine. Or one where the hero is hired by the heroine to escort or show her the way some where (as in a "road trip" story). Or where the hero is named Eugene, Flynn, or Zachary.

The number of books you have to read for each of the years is the number corresponding for that year and must be published within that year.
*Note-I am tweaking this a bit so that as each year passes, I can add to it. So it 2014 I will add it with 14 books to read.

No graphic novels or children's picture books (books may have pictures but will not to classified as picture book) will be included unless otherwise specified. Books may be youth books though. 150 page minimum unless otherwise specified.
Book titles may/may not use the word a, an, the as the the first word of the title
Example: some of my spell it out challenges has an x. I may use 'The x-factor' for that part.
Spell it out challenges may be title or Author based. Mix/match.
To make this more challenging: Books used in a challenge where I choose the books author (such as the spell it challenges)listed on this thread may not be used for any other challenge where I choose the book. Excludes things list, author challenges, or any challenge where the list is pre-made and I cross them off as I go.
Just because a challenge is listed here does not mean it has been actually started. Start/end dates will be noted for each challenge as I do them. I may not over-push myself to complete these challenges in a certain amount of time but I will note the date completed for each book as I read it. the exception is challenges that have specific books on the, such as author challenges, Shakespeare, etc. If I read them prior to 2013 they will simply be crossed off without a date. These challenges are for just my own fun to challenges so I am not following specific dates unless specified.
