I thought I might be able to get another one in, but then Christmas shopping appeared - the one I posted earlier this week is my final book. (sounds so sad to say it like that!)

I thought it was decent, but definitely not a horror novel like how it's categorized. It was a little predictable in parts but a speedy read that's hard to put down.

That's awesome! I thought the storytelling was great (and it was me who got it on the recommended books list)

My other one was Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory - it was a surprisingly light-hearted and informative read.

I'm done for this week, but close to finishing one for early next week.

There's so many to choose from in the favourite books list! I'll have to see what I can get my hands on in the next 2 weeks.

I liked The Hate U Give a lot!! It's definitely on my short-list of best reads of 2019.

Haven't read On the Come Up yet, but it's on my to-read list now!

Sad news! I was confident that my parents had the 9th book in the series I'm slowly picking through, but after rummaging through their basement bookshelves it looks like it's not in their collection. So go ahead and read the higher series number books without my 9 in between.

How did you guys like Recursion ? I loved it - hadn't read a book so mind-bending in a long while.

I won't have anything else this week, but will definitely have my 1 for next week

I just finished Feed, and I liked it. There was definitely a lot that could've (and maybe should've) been elaborated on near the end that wasn't, but I don't think I'm invested enough to read the second book to find out.
