I actually have a free week between team challenges. I’m giddy! LOL I decided to read books that either don’t count or don’t get many points for challenges (audio only and short books). 😁

It’s good to look at the bright side of things. Waiting = More time to read! 😁

I am gong to try and read a longer book every week. Fingers crossed I can maintain that schedule! LOL

Oh good! It will make life easier if the task lists are updated. Easier than checking the SS all the time. Thank you!

Hi Kristen! Welcome! It shouldn’t be a problem if you can’t get the BOMs. The main goal of TT is to read and have fun! 🙂

35559 For completion posts, do we need to list every task the book fits? I copied the lists for tasks and bingo. At first a book could work for quite a few tasks. Or should we stop listing at 5 tasks or so? I know once tasks are filled, there will be less to choose from.

Will we have a team post with recommendations for other teams to check? If so, I’ll post some recs here. Instead of posting on other team threads.

I am also thinking about how to spend my time. Most of my big books are also 2 times the length of my shorter books. I have been putting off my bigger books because of other challenges. TT gives me a reason to read them. 🙂

Thanks for explaining this! I think I will keep notes on my books in case it has to be moved to fit another task.

35559 I just looked at the tasks list, bingo and jackanory. Will we be working on them all at once during TT? Or concentrating on one at a time? Do we use book titles for jackanory? And for bingo, do we find books that best represent the pictures? It should be fun working on them!

I will definitely vote for The Once and Future Witches too. It’s on my tbr and will give me a reason to finally read it.

35559 Oh good! Book recommendations. 😁

I do have an FYI for anyone considering the May BOMs. I found both available on hoopla and overdrive. YAY! At first, I couldn’t find The Foundling. Because it is also titled The Lost Orphan.

Louise - I noticed you will be reading Chain of Iron. I will be too. Loved the first book. Also, so sorry for your loss! It’s good to be playing in another challenge with you. And really looking forward to chatting with everyone!

35559 Hi Team!

I’m very excited to be playing Towers! This is my third time playing, I believe. I live near Chicago in the U.S.. I read pretty much any genre except non fiction. I’ve never read or even heard of Discworld. But I love the name of our team! 😁 I am ready for a flexible challenge like TT. I do have some big books I’d like to get to. And I will help out with the bingo game and jackanory. Like everyone else, I am not sure exactly what to do. I’ll also try to participate in the BOM if I can.

Welcome, Cilla! A first timer. 🙂 I totally agree there isn’t enough time to read all the books. I don’t try to anymore. I just have fun reading!

35559 I did finish yesterday. I loved it! And I did not get the ending right. LOL That’s good. I never suspected the person behind everything or why. Hope you enjoyed it too.
35559 LOL I just finished chapter 30 and feel the same way! I don’t want to stop!

35559 Yeah, I‘m enjoying how Harper is revealing the story layer by layer too. My head is spinning with all the possibilities. That’s what I really love about Harper. She crafts a multi layered and fairly complex mystery. And does it so well!
35559 I read through chapter 21. Meant to stop at 20. But I was in the middle of cooking. LOL

Very interesting story. I have no idea what happened in the past and present day. Harper is great at making such complex mysteries!

35559 No worries, Brooke! My husband always gets sleepy when he reads a physical book. He can’t read more than a few chapters at a time. It doesn’t matter what time of day. LOL Books are a great sleeping pill!
35559 I read the first 10 chapters. I’ll probably do 10 every day so I can finish by the weekend.

I didn’t know much about this book. Jane Harper is an automatic read. So I didn’t even read the description closely. LOL I am enjoying it. Interesting family drama going on and good background information. (view spoiler)
35559 I did get my copy today, Brooke. I think I’ll start it tonight before bed. And will post tomorrow!
35559 Brooke and I will be reading the book. Join us if you want to read this too!
