haha totally fair! the thing is that all these YA books seem to have super high ratings so i never really look at the rating just the summary and then look to see if there are reviews talking about instalove or love triangles and then i'm like ah, just as i suspected!

i agree that sometimes there are ones that are good though, like six of crows was mentioned earlier and i love that one. although tbh i do roll my eyes *a bit* at the neat pairing off that happens in that as well, but it's definitely written better than most seem to be.

all of you who can make yourself read 'bad' books for the BOM points are far stronger than i am, i basically look at any YA book with a heavy romance angle and groan at this point lol

i have been in a slump since last fall basically and i am finally feeling like i am starting to come out of it in this last round of wheel. bring on the tower teams! lol

would i be able to use this book?



it's tagged both middle grade and young adult and the summary calls it young adult. i can't find a length confirmation but just looking at the pages i would say it's a normal amount of text and there's no pictures or anything

and as i said that will probably be my last one for this round since i am starting a huuuuge book tomorrow

yeah, i think it seems harder bc of the repeating letters and stuff but also if it was a shorter word we would be spelling it out more times and have to do probably as many of those letters anyway. but two Ys and an X is still a lot lol

i can probably get a Y done, need one to finish off my author alphabet for the year anyway.

should finish one more book for this round today and then tomorrow ten arrows of iron comes out which is like 700 pages long so will be good for points but will also probably take me awhile to read lol, it will be good for T and S at the very least though.
