Right now I have 40+ books borrowed from the library. Luckily my state system allows unlimited books out at a time. Unfortunately, I don't have unlimited reading time! Some of my books out are:
The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an IKEA Wardrobe: A novel, All the Bright Places, A Holly, Jolly Murder for a challenge, Muffin But Murder, The Dark and Hollow Places, My Life on the Road, An Ember in the Ashes and The Queen of the Tearling. And the craziest thing is tomorrow is library day and I'm going to go get more!
Laila Jane wrote: "I've got 5 days off including this weekend. All I've done so far is read and bake and read and bake. My perfect weekend =)"Laila Jane, I forgot to ask you -- what did you bake? I was seriously considering baking, but my laziness kicked in & I just bought chocolate muffins from the store... I just did a navy bean soup with ham & bacon. Now I'm thinking of peanut butter cookies. Sigh*
I checked my ever-growing pile and have books for living in a castle, rebellion and an A book which should help out with the last one we're spelling (which I can't recall at the moment, but I know it has 3 As...) Waaay too much fun here! And tomorrow is library day!!
So what is everyone up to this fine weekend? It's cold & rainy here in Hawaii tonite (it's still Friday here) & I'm looking forward to sleeping in, reading in bed and making up a big vat of ham & bean soup! Lots of BOTM reading to catch up on.
I'm ready for Canada! I've never been there, but have gotten close a couple of times. I volunteer to read
The Dark and Hollow Places which should cover the D in Canada.
Laila Jane wrote: "Also for the spell out of Canada, we've got N and 2 A's filled out"Got it! I'll go look at my book pile....
And... no go! I'm so sorry for being backward! Could somebody please add it in for me?So which letters are still needed for us to spell out Canada?
I finished my werewolf book!
Marty is a werewolf character.
Now I will attempt to add it to our spreadsheet.
This was my 1st one of the series. I liked it all right. I mainly picked it up because it was prominently displayed and I needed a book set in my home state for the Pop Sugar challenge ;)

Okey dokey. Just checking. I just finished
It doesn't count for this challenge, though. It was pretty sweet & the author did a good job with the Hawaiian Pidgin and the cultural stuff. Still working on Werewolf book #1....
Weird question #386: if I read another werewolf book, will it count?just realized I have another one! More library weirdness...
I finally finished my mystery late last night
It was pretty cute, but not spectacular. Loved the dogs & cats sub-theme!
Karen, I tried the hyperlink thing in the spreadsheet and it turned RED & said 'Anonymous Alligators.' Seriously? So maybe you can check on it for me. I don't want to screw it all up. I should finish my werewolf book by tomorrow...
I am just having waaay too much fun with all of this!
I am obsessive about renewing/picking up books and only rarely ever have a fine. I consider that my donation to the system! Plus I live about 4 blocks away from the library. I used to live on the same street! That was dangerous.
I try to schedule my library holds to be picked up on either Sunday or Monday. My library system gives us a 2-week window for pick-up. If you fail to come get them, they charge you $1.00 for each one not picked up, so that's a really good incentive.I'm off tomorrow so I should finish The Diva Frosts a Cupcake (set in America) and hopefully Accidentally Dead that has a werewolf character! Really enjoying The Queen of the Tearling but it won't count for this challenge...
