EEEEwwww>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sophie!
Can we institute a no reptiles rule? I am scared of any & all reptiles. I feel as though I will die of a heart attack from just seeing one one day! I am even scared of baby geckos!

I desperately WANT to like Dune, but I just can't! I've tried (and failed miserably) to read it 5 or 6 times over the years, but I just can't! I almost tried again yesterday. I was in line to check out at the library & it was right next to me silently mocking and judging me... I did not check it out.
No two people ever read the same book. You should give it a try to find out if you can do it. I find as I get older that my ability to enjoy epic fantasy or sci-fi is rapidly diminishing!

Meee tooo! I also got both BOMs from the library today & started Kings of the Wyld! Yaaayyyy!

Could someone please put me down for that one? Thank you!

Thank you!

If you mention your favourite animal, it might just pop up in the days to come."
Hmmm… I’ve always fancied tigers. They’re so beautiful…

Did you? Where were you located and why? I’m only here because I’m born & raised. It’s very beautiful here, but we’re going to need to move in the next few years. We won’t be able to afford to live here once we retire, unfortunately.

The good thing is that our state system has no limit to books you can borrow in person, so I often check out 100+ at a time. For Libby, CDs & DVDs it’s 10 at a time…

I will! I get all my books from the library, so if I can get the book, I will always participate in the BOM — but I don’t like to write questions! Sometimes if the book is too new, it takes the whole month to get it!

I've been thinking about re-reading Sookie. She's my absolute favorite. I've been watching Trueblood now that it's on regular TV & don't think too much of it. But yet I still watch...

Yes, dear. We have played together before. You are also my friend, but I expect you must be SO busy!
I love the paranormal, the outrageous & strange. I'm a sucker for bad puns in titles & can't sit still & settle down to read one single book all the way through!
I loved the last Gunnie Rose with its focus on the little sister, although I did miss Gunnie & Eli. Good luck getting your hands on the newest one!

OMG, Steven! You just may be my long lost twin! I swear I LOVE anything by Charlaine Harris! Also Nora Roberts... If the woman wrote an instruction manual I would read it!

Me, too, Gem! More like 5 - 12 books at a time! Especially at the beginning. I’m all over the place!
I’m starting with Golden Son, The Man Who Died Twice & Marked in Flesh. I’ve got a few chunksters in mind, but I make no promises there! I have ordered them from my library, so at least that’s a start! I have attempted to read A Clash of Kings at least 3 times over the years with no luck. Maybe this will be my year!?

I hope this year's Wheel is a little earlier -- in autumn. I just couldn't handle December last year. I enjoy that one too!

I'm SO glad you asked the question, Jill! I was feeling a bit ignorant here -- thinking that this was some book series that I had somehow missed out on! Duh! The answer was so simple, but Google was no help this time!

My shelf is nbrc-tt-2023
Sorry, but I can’t do a link to save my life! I will ask for help with the spreadsheet. Can’t do those either…So thank you in advance!
I’m an old married lady with 1 adult son. I read obsessively and I’m all over the place. I am a serial book starter, especially on Saturdays. I’ll start a whole bunch of new books & see which ones I’m feeling most.
I work full time at the State Hospital (yes, read mental hospital) in the medical records unit. I deal mostly with release of information. I feel as if I really get to help people move on with their lives. It’s super-busy, so my lunch break reading is extra-special to me & the library is my happy place.
I enjoy paranormal, mysteries, action-adventure & chick lit most of all, but I will read just about anything. I know a few of you from other challenges & I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you!
