Thanks Keely. Here is the explanation for one of the tasks on Jersey Devil already asked and answered..
for tasks like "LEEDS in title" do you want the word whole and intact or the letters in order, or just all the letters present? There was one task that specified but most don't...
Answer - Letters present.

I'm going to sit down this weekend and see what I can line ..."I know... Love the Loch Ness Monster, the 800 pager not so much. I do have one to start but not till next month if the spot is still vacant then.
Keely wrote: "A string of bad luck has put me behind my timeframe for finishing my 800+ page book. I should now have it done next week sometime."No problem Keely. Hope things improve for you, we're slowly getting through those monsters..
The Rat King has been defeated... Yay.. Our new monster is LOCH NESS MONSTER -
Can you believe it - we need another 800+ book. I haven't read one yet so I'll start looking.
Vicky wrote: "I finished The Spanish Love Deception today, how do we feel about using it for both hands of the same person on the cover? One of her hands is partially hidden behind the D, but par..."I think that would be fine. There are two pairs of hands on the cover, the guys hands too, one shown and one in his pocket. 😊
Santu Sakai is defeated.I have spun for two of the new Urban Legends monsters to get us back to 5 monsters in play.

Natasha wrote: "I added the read date to my book on the spreadsheet so Scylla is now defeated."Great Natasha. As the last vanquisher of Scylla you can spin for a new monster if you'd like.
Vicky wrote: "I'm asking in the Q&A thread for clarification on "Letters KL in title" - if they don't have to be consecutive I just finished A Curse So Dark and Lonely!I penciled it in to the s..."
I think it will be fine Vicky but no harm in double checking. Finding a consecutive KL would be nearly impossible. 😁
Keely wrote: "I started my 800+ page book last night. I'm working a lot in the next week or so, so I'm not sure that I will make quick progress on it. I'm still aiming to get it done by mid-March though."No worries, Keely. Just work your way through it.
I think the Mods are working on some new monster categories.. so that's exciting.
Jenny wrote: "Lisa, this is just a draft. Can you think of any Human monsters that should be added?"Mmmm. Maybe Norman Bates from Psycho. Dexter Morgan from Dexter. Some Bond villains.. Dr No, Jaws... Darth Vader from Star Wars.. Jack Torrance from The Shining. Freddy Kruger from Nightmare on Elm Street. Michael Myers from Halloween.
Jenny wrote: "I have finished up potential tasks for the Human Monsters in Literature, TV and Film wheel, minus the page count possibilities. Use them, don't use them, find other human monsters (there are a lot..."
Popping in from The Monster Mashers!
That's amazing Jenny. Can't wait to defeat these monsters. Thank U.
Velvet Was the NightMexican writer and location
Mexico in the 1970s is a dangerous country, even for Maite, a secretary who spends her life seeking the romance found in cheap comic books and ignoring the activists protesting around the city. When her next-door neighbor, the beautiful art student Leonora, disappears under suspicious circumstances, Maite finds herself searching for the missing woman—and journeying deeper into Leonora’s secret life of student radicals and dissidents.
Mexico in the 1970s is a politically fraught land, even for Elvis, a goon with a passion for rock ’n’ roll who knows more about kidney-smashing than intrigue. When Elvis is assigned to find Leonora, he begins a blood-soaked search for the woman—and his soul.
Swirling in parallel trajectories, Maite and Elvis attempt to discover the truth behind Leonora’s disappearance, encountering hitmen, government agents, and Russian spies. Because Mexico in the 1970s is a noir where life is cheap and the price of truth is high.
From the New York Times bestselling author of Mexican Gothic comes a simmering historical noir about a daydreaming secretary, a lonesome enforcer, and the mystery of the missing woman they’re both desperate to find.
Laila Jane wrote: "My book defeated Kamaitachi. Can someone spin for a new monster? I’m heading into work and can’t get to it tonight"Great going Laila. I'll spin for you..
Our new monster is.. MEDUSA
Go for it Keely. Hope that's the last of the 800+ for a while. I'll be finishing off Babi first week of March as well.
How's everybody else going with their monster slaying?
