Maybe they added it to balance the sexual tension between Daisy and Billy. To infer that Camilla and Billy's marriage wasn't perfect and give cred to the feelings between the two leads. But it wasn't necessary really.

Yes, that was very similar to the book. If I remember they changed the nationality of Nicky for some reason though.

The tv show was a bit slow to get started but once it got going I really liked it. There was only one plot difference I didn't like.. (view spoiler)

35559 Wow, I loved Daisy Jones and the Six. It was the best book I read last year. And I really enjoyed the TV adaptation as well. Elvis' grand daughter Riley Keogh and Sam Clafin as Billy were well cast. I've read most of her books and it's way in front my favourite.

Just as well our reading tastes are not all the same, LOL.

Another book I really loved was The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab .

I loved that book. The epilogue made me ugly cry. But I haven't enjoyed her later books as much.

Elisabeth, I thought i had read all of Daphne du Maurier's books, but hadn't heard of that one. I've just come back from Cornwall and went to the DdM Museum set up adjacent to the Jamaica Inn pub. So interesting, I absolutely loved Cornwall. Such a rich literary history.
