We won't be able to use that. Once you finished it, if you go back to re-read the last few chapters, that's a re-read. NBRC requires at least 6 months inbetween re-reads.

No. You're right. It just says at least the last 3 letters. We would just be using all the letters.

Actually, we could use the Carrie Sotos. Or the Fourth Wings. We would just be matching more than 3 letters.
Lindsay and I are almost done. Who else is reading Carrie Soto?

Tower Teams 1: Ladder to the Sky
Read four books that form a ladder, connecting at least the last three letters of the first book to make the start of the next book (all words count). e.g...."
If we want to play off of someone close to finishing Fourth Wing, I have Wings of the Walker or Wings of Ice.

Also, for the task "someone following a character" - I'm readin..."
I've got about 1 1/2 hours left in Carrie Soto as well.

Tower Teams 1: Ladder to the Sky
Read four books that form a ladder, connecting at least the last three letters of the first book to make the start of the next book (all words count). e.g. The Red Queen > Queen of Babble > Bleak House > Use of Weapons
In this particular example, all the connects use the last three letters, except the Queen/Queen connection. That one uses the last 5 letters. It's AT LEAST the last 3.

Some challenges require a quote, or proof that can be seen in the book description, or something like that. For this challenge, your sentence above is perfect. :)

Our New tasks:
Tower Teams 8: Discworld Tasks
Read a book featuring a witch or wizard
Read a book with MPG Crime
Read a book with the letters MOIST in the title
Read a book featuring DEATH or the Grim Reaper or equivalent
Stacey, I'll add your Crime book to this one. :)
And I have a Grim Reaper book.

1. Kylie has had to drop out of the challenge due to real life stuff. Tammie and I are still your co-captains, but now instead of assisting Kylie, we are both captains (hence the "co").
2. We have opened POISONOUS TOADSTOOLS in the spell-out. Once those are nearly full we'll open MOIST VON LIPWIG and then FILIUS FLITWICK, trying to get those nasty Os and Is out of the way!
3. I know it can be frustrating if you can't get online and grab tasks. But we get the same number of points for each book in the spell-out as we get for each book used in the Wheel. Each Wheel set of tasks gets us 5 bonus points, but each word gets us 20 bonus points. So unless a word is over 16 letters, we're getting the same or better bonus points! So each book is equally valuable!
And keep in mind that the Wheel books don't count for page towers!

I'll put this one down for MPG Crime. I think we need more than just a mention of a cat in the book.
For instance, in the book Tammie is reading for Elves, the 2 main characters have cats that can talk and are characters in the book themselves. Or a book with cat shifters (even big cats) would work.
Last month I read Lassiter. Beth has a cat (the first Black Dagger book would work because of that), and in this book the cat features because it can sense when something is off with some of the characters.

At the rate we read, we'll probably get each task twice. After we get it twice, we can ask for a re-spin if we get it again. So if you don't mind pausing, that would be great. Then when we get again I can read Love in Due Time.
Same with the Crime book. Although you might need to find out who-dunnit and not be able to wait! :)

Something to keep in mind for next time we get this one.

There's a new Jayne Frost book? I thought she had completed those!
ETA: I see I have missed 2 of them!
Jayne Frost can totally connect to cats, as well.

I wasn't trying to push to get books done faster, merely saying that my books were super short. The audio was just over 3 hours, and I listen at 2x speed. Tomorrow or the next day is fine. I know your Sherlock book will be much more complex than mine was! :)
