Yes it was asked in the Captain's Group. Here was the answer.----------------------------------------------
Clarification question:
One of my team members asked is books started before the 31st (but not finished until August) can be used for Tri-wizard.
I was thinking yes, because it isn't a banked book, but wanted to check with someone who actually knows the answer ;)
Answer from Sonia: Yes
-----------------------------------------------------
So books started prior to July 31st but not finished until August 1st or later are not considered "banked books" and can work towards TWT tasks.
But your point is valid regarding letters we need a lot of for the Characters books. I will leave the decision to Michelle as to whether your books should go toward TWT or Characters. I jut know we need to finish the first 36 tasks under TWT before we can work on other tasks, so we need to make sure we are thoughtfully working on those first 36 tasks and finishing them by August 10th at the latest, to give us three more weeks to work on more tasks.
Open tasks to pick from for now - please pick if you can read them by August 10th...Book 1 - Sorcerer's Stone - 7 open tasks
Task 1 - Defeat the Troll
Read a book with a baseball bat on the cover
Read a book with “troll” in the title or text

Hi Devann. Great idea about people still reading HP books. I too finished all of them so no help there.MPG stands for Main Page Genre. It's shown on the page where the book is listed over to the right.
Just finished the whole book! I loved it! Stephen King is an awesome writer and really gets into your dark psyche of scary!! As Holly would say Oogh.. (view spoiler) I hope we see Holly in another book to come.
The Tri-Wizard Team Tasks are up! Here is a link:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
As a team, we must pick 3 books, and 3 tasks within those first 3 books to complete, for a total of 9 books and 36 tasks. Once we finish those, we are free to go back and complete more as we see fit.
Please review the list and let us know what you think we should read for first. Thanks!
The Triwizard Maze is being done as a house - information on that should be shared in our Dungeon. Also, if you are interested in signing up for the last round of Quidditch (against the Hufflepuffs) sign up in the Dungeon as well.

DQs 4: Chapter 28 - Epilogue22. Jazz made a shocking decision to go visit Billy after no contact with him. He asks G William to help him get in quickly. Why do you think Jazz finally made the decision to visit Billy? Would you trust what Billy tells you?
I think he wanted to get the truth about his mother, and also to see if Billy had any idea on who the Impressionist was. I would not trust Billy at all.
23. Why do you think Billy’s request to Jazz about moving the birdbath signified? Do you believe it was a signal? Or just another way to mess with Jazz's head?
I thought it was just a way to mess with Jazz's head, but I was wrong.
24. The Impressionist tells Jasper that he was never supposed to talk to him or see him, which leads me to believe he was taking orders from someone. Do you think Billy was telling the truth about not having contact with him? Do you have any theories of who is pulling his strings?
I think Billy was pulling his strings somehow. I don't believe Billy at all.
25. The Impressionist has a pretty terrifying trophy in his finger belt! What do you think is the significance of the dual “L-O-V-E” and “F-E-A-R” tattoos?
I think that shows he was in contact with Billy since Billy had the same tats on his fingers in jail.
26. “Sure you are. You just ain’t killed no one yet.” Do you think Jazz killed his mother? Or is Billy messing with his head with the note?
I don't know. I hope he didn't have him do that but there are some really dark places in Jazz's mind.
27. Final thoughts of the book and overall rating? Are you intrigued enough to continue on with the series?
I loved this book. I gave it five stars. I am so interested in seeing what happens to Jazz in the future and will continue on with this series

DQ 3: Chapters 18 - 2814. After sharing his theory and brainstorming, Jazz totally manipulated Connie and Howie to get them to go with him to look for evidence instead of calling the Sheriff. (And we've seen him manipulate a lot of people, especially women, before.) What do you think about this behavior?
I think it's perfectly natural given his upbringing by his dad. I hope he uses it for good.
15. Jazz spends a lot of time taking care of his Grandmother, and she is awfully toxic. Why do you think he is so determined to stay with her instead of going to a foster home? Is Melissa right to decide to move him out?
I think he is trying to atone for what he did under his father's direction. I don't think Melissa is right because I don't think he'd do well in foster care and he is almost 18.
16. Wow the scene with Ginny was very intense. What did it make you think of with regards to Jazz - his feelings of pleasure conflicting with trying to help? Do you like him any less or more?
I think Jazz is very disturbed and borderline sociopath. Hopefully he can use that for good.
17. Erickson keeps showing up and being pretty abusive? Is he a red herring or something more? (Ha I guess don't answer this if you have read this book before - unless you remember what you thought at the time.)
I had bad feelings about Erickson at the time, but I finished the book so I know now...
18. How did the Impressionist know about Jazz's room (or did he?)? Do you think he is going to interact even more with Jazz now, even though it is against orders?
I don't think he knew about Jazz's room, but I do think he and Jazz will end up interacting more in the future.
19. The scene with the dog and learning not to cry was really horrific. I think that interposed with the scene where he cries when talking to Connie are important. Any thoughts?
I think Jasper is messed up
20. Speaking of Connie, what do you think about what she said to Jazz in Chapter 28?
I think Connie is a tough cookie, and I think it's good that she's so up front with Jazz.
21. Is it right for the Sheriff to have Jazz help in the investigation?
Yes I think it actually helps Jazz to be useful and helps him calm his bad thoughts
