35559 I've finished! I enjoyed the reread much more than the first time I read it. I think much of the story made more sense to me reading it a second time. I'll proceed on with The Great Hunt, probably next week.

Chapter 3 - Chapter 5

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?

I think that was natural. She was looking for some place familiar and safe. I would have done the same thing.

7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I have no idea what Sir Isaac Newton has to do with this but I'm curious to find out.

8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?Sounds ominous for Gwyneth. Who is Lucy?

9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything!
I believe Mr. Bernard knows about Gwyneth and will have an important part to play.

10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
Sounds like someone took advantage of the situation to steal those items knowing that the intruder would be blamed.

11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I really doubt it.

12 - Mr Whiteman wears a signet ring just like Gwyneth's grandfather used to. And then he says that Charlotte won't be back in school "until everything has ...returned to normal". Do you think he is a Guardian? Or maybe a watcher of sorts? He definitely knows something, specially considering the design of his signet ring.
He must be involved in time travel in some way. Maybe he is a Guardian.

13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
This part was the strangest yet. If it was really Gwyneth, how could this happen?

Prologue - Chapter 2

1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)

I wonder if Grace could be Gwyneth's mother. Yes, a lot of 'G' names.

2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Charlotte is not very likeable, I'm sure due to her feelings of importance as being the one considered to be a time traveler. I find it very interesting that Gwyneth can see ghosts and yet no one believes her. (If time travel is acceptable, why not the ability to see ghosts?) Gwyneth is overlooked by the adults in her family as someone who is not deemed important, I guess due to their belief that Charlotte is the one who carries the time-traveling gene.

3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I'm sure he has a part to play. Maybe the adults know why he's there.

4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
Yes, so far I'm really enjoying the writing.

5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
That's a mystery to me. Why are they so convinced that Charlotte is the one?

35559 Have you read any of the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind? I'm planning to start it this month. And I just started the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

I also like Terry Brooks' Shannara books but it's been a long time since I've read any of them. Another author I'd like to get back to.

35559 I've read the first four books from his Riftwar series and enjoyed them. Glad you mentioned him - I need to read some more of his books. I tried to read the series that starts with Daughter of the Empire but didn't like it.

35559 Kelly, if we do a Featured Series Read and it's all contained in one thread, can we count the different books as BRs? I'm doing the Wheel of Time series and there are about 14 or 15 books in the series.
35559 I got behind on my reading over Thanksgiving but I've read through Chapter 33 of The Eye of the World now.
