It's so exciting being at or near the top of the teams. Such a great motivator to push that little bit extra.
I'm not able to read that 3000 page book because I don't have a kindle, but I'm in awe of those who read it just for this challenge. I'm not a super fast reader but I will commit to reading at least one book every week that is over 500 pages. It's a good excuse for getting to those long ones that I always put off.
The Chestnut Man was interesting, but pretty dark and a bit gross/creepy. I was ok, but some might find it a bit too twisted.

? Is it good?I bought that book when Team challenge started and got it in mail 2 -3 weeks ago. I so want to read it but I am afr..."
I read this and liked it!
My JET book could also work for TIARA, GOWN, PEARLS, DIAMOND, RUBY, TRUFFLES, BOAT (not sure how helpful that is though)
Excited for a spell-out too! Feels relaxing and I happen to have two "I" books I need to read next week anyway so it's perfect.

Same. I won't totally write the author off, but unless the reviews are better than Wilder Girls, I probably won't bother.
For those who loved Wilder Girls, have you seen the cover of the book the author is releasing in July 2020? It's a very pretty brown cover that would work well for the challenge if it were out already, but I'm going to wait till it's out to decide if I want to read it, since I didn't really care for Wilder Girls.
I read The Queen of the Night and I have to give a sincere thank you to whoever recommended it in this thread. I absolutely hated it, but I had it on my tbr for years after Book Riot raved and raved about this book. So despite the unfavourable reviews from all my Goodreads friends (average rating 2.0), I knew I would never take it off my tbr without reading it, and I almost never give up on books once I've started them.
Reading it for this challenge got me to power through it though and finish the book in 3 days, where I probably would have taken a week or two otherwise. Now I can say it's done and I hated it with a clear conscience!
