I think it's so interesting how in the wizarding world, the way the pictures move seems to be determined by how the people feel as the pictures are being taken. It always makes me laugh how Colin's picture shows Harry clearly not wanting to be in the picture and Lockhart trying to hold onto him and eventually giving up. Such a great image.

Um, ok, well I thought I was making comments with my thoughts and opinions of things that are happening. It's a bit hard to start a discussion when people aren't here yet to go back and forth. If my comments aren't good enough I can just go read on my own then and not worry about buddy read points.

Chapter 8

(view spoiler)[She buried a cat in the backyard. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAT???

He gives her pills to take. That makes me nervous. They have a weird relationship that I can't put my finger on. If she needs medication she should be seeing a doctor who isn't her husband.

I'm getting the impression that she may be more mentally unstable than she first appeared to be. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7

(view spoiler)[ Things are starting to get interesting. We're back to a THEN chapter for Adele, and it seems she is in a mental institution of some kind after her parents die. She has some issues with sleep and mentions of her having night terrors in the past and not wanting to sleep at all. Also it seem she is maybe 17 and she already knows David. I think Chapter 1 is Adele, based on the sleep comments so far. (hide spoiler)]

Normally I wouldn't do it this way, but I find with thrillers, the more I can pay attention to and remember specific details and what things are hinted at vs specifically stated, the better I can figure out what is going on.

Chapter 6

(view spoiler)[ "I always thought it was something you grew into, that ability to walk perfectly in high heels and always dress well" I WISH! I'm in my 30's and haven't been able to master these yet. :(

The two meeting in the office was awkward and also hilarious.

Why does he have to call his wife at exactly 11:30? They both mention it (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5

(view spoiler)[Multiple mentions of the garden. It's pinging my radar for some reason. Maybe just because I love gardening? LOL. We'll see.

Adele seems a bit obsessed and needy. "Everything I do is for him" "I will never fall out of love with him. I won't give that up. I can't." And she refers to herself as "the albatross around his neck". I wonder if she holds something over him and so he can't leave her even if he wants to? (hide spoiler)]

They're basically just recaps on what I think is happening in the chapters, so when there are the inevitable twists, I can go back and laugh at how wrong I was.

Chapter 4

(view spoiler)[Louise met a guy in a bar and felt a connection, but it turns out he is her new married boss! Yikes. Will the mystery man turn out to be David from the last chapter? She is a single mom (Adam) who was married for a few years (Ian) who left her for another woman. Her friend Sophie regularly cheats on her husband Jay with married men. Sure is a lot of cheating in this book. *side eye

Sounds like Louise suffers from night terrors and sleepwalking. I don't know why, but that descriptions creeped me out a bit. The idea of waking up someone you didn't go to sleep makes me nervous. (hide spoiler)]

David is drunk but doesn't like Adele drinks. There is mention of rage, broken glass. It seems like he is angry at her for something and she wants to make things right, but I don't get a feeling of domestic abuse, like so many thrillers seems to have. Could be wrong though. (hide spoiler)]

I'm starting right now!

I am excited for quidditch but I don't want to play. Im not flexible enough in my reading.

How is that mobile game? I've been debating whether I want to play it.

I finished the first book yesterday, so I think I will start this book after my current read. Tomorrow probably.

Thillers these days are so tricky. Even when reviews don't think they're spoiling anything, mentioning any little detail gives away too much.

I'd like to join this one too. Heard good things and I own a copy so I'm ready anytime.
