35559 Well I'm back from my holiday to Croatia which was amazing. I just had a lazy day yesterday with my nose in a book. So finally getting round to checking in now! Looks like we've been making a good start.

Love the photo of the malamute btw!

35559 Wow… 5 hours just to start a holiday from Hawaii is crazy. I’d never actually thought of Hawaii being so far away from the rest of America. My flight from Northern Ireland to Croatia took less than 3 hours, so 5 hours would take me to a different continent!

35559 The first books I'll be reading in May are:

The Secret Cove in Croatia (Romantic Escapes, #5) by Julie Caplin
Because I'll be in Croatia

And
Our King Charles III The Man and the Monarch Revealed by Robert Jobson
Because of the upcoming Coronation

Lots of authors I like in there! I'm interested to read Stefan Arnhem but haven't got round to it yet. A few others I like are Eva Bjorg AEgisdottir & Jo Nesbo.
I haven't come across Mari Jungstedt and Emelie Schepp, I must check them out

35559 See a few people mention dogs. I have 2, an Alaskan Malamute & a Siberian Husky. They definitely make sure that my life isn't dull!

35559 Fallyn - I'm the opposite, I've been doing these for years but this was my first time doing UNO after a few people in my Wheelathon team recommended it.

Sophie - thanks. I'm back late on 6th so I should be able to pop in on 7th if I don't manage it when I'm away

35559 *waves* Hi everyone!

I'm Vikki from Northern Ireland.

I think I recognise a few names but am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I've taken part in a lot of team challenges here, both tower teams & wheelathons. Kinda obvious that I enjoy them!

My favourite genres are crime & thriller but I also read historical fiction, chick lit, fantasy/paranormal, cozy mysteries, classics. Basically anything that catches my attention. I've been reading a bit more non-fiction over the past couple of years too.

I won't be on much for the first week of this challenge as I'll be in Croatia. But I will still be reading & will update on any finished books when I get home as I'll only have mobile access when I'm away.

35559 I wasn't in Perks but I've just joined. UNO sounds like fun, I'll probably sign up for it when it opens. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

35559 I've never played UNO - what's it like?

Oh, it's set in Newry. That's only about 10-15 mins drive from where I live. Haven't read this book but I did read another book by this author, The Titanic Sisters. I really liked it
