I put my books on my shelf once I finish them but like others I will put a few on the spreadsheet. I check out most of my books from the library (physical and kindle/libby), so I roughly plan out my tbr for the month the month before. I developed a system, which I sometimes stray from if I am getting slumpy. I try to add a few new releases, some backlist, and series I have started so I do not get behind. I am also in the Seasonal Reading Challenge group, so I use the prompts to determine the books I am going to read.
The BOM are usually not my cup of tea and I try not to pick up books that won't hold my attention. I have so many books I want to get to on my tbr that I will dnf a book I am struggling to read.
I tried Project Hail Mary last year even though sci-fi is not a genre I typically read (unless there is time travel!) because it was so hyped. I dnfed it about 50 pages in. I have also heard that the Martian and Project Hail Mary are very similar.

My name is Angela and I am from Illinois in a suburb close to Chicago. I used to be a cat mom, but we had to put her (Chloe) to sleep in November, which was obviously heartbreaking.
I have not read the Hunger Games Trilogy, despite it being on my tbr since 2009. I think because it is out of my comfort zone as far as reading taste goes that I continue to put it off. Being in this challenge may finally give me the push I need. The genres I tend to pick up most often are mystery/thriller and romance/women's fiction. I do also enjoy historical fiction, non-fiction (usually memoirs) and literary fiction. Reading is my main hobby but I also enjoy long walks (usually listening to music or a podcast), cross-stitching and trying out new recipes.
Looking forward to playing this new challenge with all of you!

Thanks to the mods for all the work they did in the challenge. I really enjoyed my first wheels challenge! Happy Holidays to all :)

I do have two books I am reading that have a musician in them, which I did not know when I started them, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Happy reading weekend to all!

Will add to the spreadsheet once more lines are added, as well as other books I plan on reading.

I did notice that the book I just finished Love, Theoretically was not checked as an orange cover. I also added in another character name, for the letter C.

I do have this book planned

I prefer to read mystery/ thrillers, romance, general fiction/ literary fiction. For the most part, I stay away from fantasy and horror, although I do like a light touch of magical realism in my books from time to time.
I am going to be starting The Whispers by Ashley Audrain and Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan.

This has been a really fun challenge and a big thank you to the captains/ co-captains for all your hard work. Hope to see you all in future challenges.

I am really stingy with my 5 stars, so most of these are 4.5 or 4 stars. I did give Yours Truly 3.5 but I loved all but the last 25 or so pages and was really disappointed with the third act conflict. The Beautiful Lies and Sliver of Truth duology was a lot of fun and I wish I was not going through all my cat issues while reading the first book as I probably would have rated it higher.
I also watched the adaptations of 11/22/63 (so different from the book) and Saint X (really enjoyed this one.
I have Take My Hand on my tbr Jenny, so now I need to push it up!
I wish I could have my own personal library, but with everything being so gosh darn expensive these days and I RARELY re-read, I rely on the library. I started to collect my all time favorites the last few years, so I guess I am starting a library, but for now it is very small.

Preeti I read Blonde years ago (2009) and I remember it being very dense but it was interesting and informative.
