Magenta Mix-Up (396 new)

35559 I've been in camp for two weeks so reading and Goodreadsing has been a bit probematic... But I'll be back by the end of the week so I'll be getting up to date soon. Can't wait to go on GR on my computer again. Mobiles can be a pain. :) Butbut I believe I've read T-Witches and A Wrinkle in Time and Celtika meanwhile, so it should be at least six books. I'll definitely pick up the pace next month :)

35559 It's going pretty well for me :) It may be lengthy but it goes fast. I'm about to finish the first book of four.
Though of course I'm reading in Estonian. I had a look at the English version when I was in the bookstore yesterday and it looked a lot more confusing. Estonian is a lot closer to Russian than English is. Plus, the version I saw had the footnotes at the back of the book, which has got to be really annoying, when they talk in French constantly.
But it's still a lot easier than one might expect. :)
I'm going to a summer camp next week, so it'll probably take me a while to finish it. Can't take my whole library with me sadly. Maybe you'll catch up with me :D

Also - The Night Circus. I loved it. I hope you're enjoying it.

35559 I've read Rumors (Luxe, #2) by Anna Godbersen , Nana (Les Rougon-Macquart, #9) by Émile Zola and Paper Towns by John Green so far. Also reading War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy at the moment. I intend to read some other books while I work on that.

35559 Ello there! Glad to be here :)
35559 Ello. All of this has managed to confuse me to no end, but from what I understand, this is something I'd love to do. So, sign me up!

✔ How many books you read in 2012.
I'd say around 70-75, but I can't be sure, because I suppose I never thought to mark the date on the books I read on Goodreads and now only a part of what I actually read is accounted for on my list. But yes. Around 75 I'd say.
✔ How many books you plan to read 2013
My 2013 Reading Challenge is set to 50, but I'm already nearly there and will probably finish before the end of the summer, so I'd predict about 100 by the end of the year.
✔ If you were in Round I, the percentage of goal reached would be appreciated, if you know it.
N/A
✔ Would you be willing to be a Team Captain?
No, since I already have no clue as to what I'm doing! :)

35559 My Favorite Book(s): Oh dear... Some of the more recent stuff - I'm currently rereading Eragon and I absolutely love it... And I just recently read Moby Dick and it's now on my favourites shelf too :) (Not to mention Harry Potter of course).
My Favorite Movie(s): Sweeney Todd, Dark Harbor, Die Hard, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Galaxy Quest... Basically I just love Alan Rickman. (And Harry Potter goes under there as well, naturally). Other than that... bunch of fantasy stuff and plenty of animated things as well.
My Favorite Celebrity: Alan Rickman
My Favorite Author: Oh dear, these questions. At one point I considered Darren Shan my favourite author. Now... Perhaps Neil Gaiman. And George R. R. Martin too of course.
My Favorite Music: Mumford & Sons, Fall Out Boy, Mika, Simon & Garfunkel, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Tom Waits... Bunch of stuff. :)
Sign: Sagittarius
Day Job: Student
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: Perhaps back in Ireland... Or somewhere in the UK. But I'm quite content with staying in Estonia too.
Weird stuff I’m into: Oh, I can't seem to think of a thing. I'm sure there's plenty but... I dunno. Hedgehogs? Oh, and axolotls definitely. They are just precious.
I can't seem to remember anything else.
Why I read: No particular reason really. Just because I always have and I always will and it's the single most interesting and nigh on the most important part of my life and I seriously cannot imagine living without books because basically everything I do revolves around books. You know. The usual.
... I just really like books.
