If you are going to be reading right up to the deadline we'll ask you to confirm on Friday so we can be ready to sort it out."

Cool, i just suddenly got the fear it ended Wednesday or something. I've still got three books planned. I will likely have Silence Fallen and Iron King finished by Friday. Talented Mr Ripley is very slow, so that is my only iffy book. I'll let you know Friday 8pm UK time whether I'll finish that one by the Saturday deadline.

35559 I've cleared a few off my tbr that no longer interest me, which is always nice. I have also read two this month so far. Both classics snd both added in 2016. Rebecca was okay. I wanted to like it so much more but it wasn't as wonderful as I imagined. Beautiful imagery lacklustre story. The other was The Old Man and the Sea. Man was that boring. It wasn't drivel, so I couldn't give it just one star but it was so two star meh.

35559 I finally finished some books! It's such a nice feeling. All those blank spaces on the spreadsheet were taunting me. Hopefully, I'll get the others done.

I thought Ready Player One was bad. I don't understand it's appeal.

35559 I can access the SS. My shelf

I've got A Bad Day for Sunshine, Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs with Adam, and The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton in my immediate to read pile.

35559 Hi All. I'm a Texan living in Norwich, UK.
I have done a few Wheels and TTs. I honestly thought that that one wheel was actually based on brown. 🤣
I mostly read fantasy and sci-fi. Though I'm doing the Pantheon challenge in AMMP, I will make that work around this challenge.
I look forward to reading with you all.

I still have yet to start the series. Maybe in 2022's tbr challenge.

I loved Snorri 😍 i thought this was one of his happier trilogies. Though nothing beats his Broken Empire. I thought Jorg was a brilliantly written anti hero, he reminded me of Graham Greene's Pinky.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll move The Goldfinch to the top of the pile.

I had to quit the weighty tome challenge last month. I went and bought the book back in Jan and duly read to page 10 and never got any further. I think I'm going to dedicate next year to big books. Gone with the Wind, Kushiel's Dart, The Blind Assassin, New York: the novel, The Book of Life, A Game of Thrones and The Goldfinch are all staring at me.

35559 Another book read. Im finally halfway. I may just reach my goal this year. I wasn't so sure I was goibg to like Chosen as this series has been a little lacklustre for me but book #4 brought it. That's two book fours in a row that were the best in their series. I will definitely carry on with this series now.

35559 Woo-hoo I finally finished one for this challenge. I've been reading alot of 2020 & 2021 releases lately.
I really liked Dead to the World. This is my fave Sookie Stackhouse so far. I even bought the boxset to watch it now. I enjoyed it that much.

I remember her! I should have bought her when I had the chance. Though she'd just be sitting in my attic with all my other barbies.
35559 Yes, it's very long but it's pacy. I was a child of the 80s, it was a terrible period for film, there was a lot if "me generation" crap, much of which didn’t appeal to a child/preteen. And we definitely didn’t have the joy of streaming. So it was whatever was on tv or from the video (vcr!) store. There were also a lot of made for tv movies back then and threy were all dreadful. Gone with the Wind would've been an easy choice considering the schlock it was up against.
