Day 1 questions:
1. My first thought was of Joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat, but that wasn't really all that magical.
2. It was a bit confusing at first but hopefully will make more sense soon. I was mostly confused by his jump within grey London since I assumed he'd gone to another london.
3. I really don't know what to think, don't know enough about this world yet.
4. I'm curious how he can tell the difference between the two at first glance. Is it just that he's dealt with them long enough that they give themselves away? I wonder if he'll get tricked by one at some point.
5. So far it's easy to read and has a hint of mystery. I'm enjoying it but not completely engrossed just yet.

Definitely! The GR page describes it as a kingdom of ice and snow, that sounds perfect.

I checked our December books and we have one 100 point book (Outlander) and three 80 point books (The Dragon Writers Collection, Belgarath the Sorcerer, Brief History of Seven Killings), so we should reserve those for the double points. After those 4, there's a whole bunch of 60 point books.

Thanks Ashley! That makes sense, and that's really helpful. I'll skip that BOM then !

Thanks!

Ok, not a great answer on this. They asked if there was anywhere to find a word count on the book, to show if it really has enough text to qualify. (25,000 words is the minimum needed for children's books, so probably what would be needed for this as well)

Hm, I'm not sure. The rules say that graphic novels aren't allowed, but it sounds like this would have plenty of text as well, and isn't the same thing as a graphic novel. I'll check with the mods.
