That's good to hear, Steven! You've convinced me to give it a try!
I see we need some Ws too... Hmm, might be time for me to read Red Dirt Heart by NR Walker !!!Do we get extra points for reading the book of our team's name? lol. That'd be fantastic!
Melissa wrote: "Is it okay for more than one person to read the same book? Indexing sounds good but I see Sonia is reading it already. I will keep on looking on KU for other books as well."YES !!! Of course you can :) And I might well read Indexing, too. I've been meaning to read more stuff by Seanan McGuire since I finished the Wayward Children.
I love retellings ! :D I'll have to go through my tbr to see what I have yet to read in that category.

Yes, it's kind of a miracle, really. Haha
And I feel the same about the Shadowhunters. They can diss as much as they want, it'll never change my opinion of the series. I'll always love it no matter what. Haters gonna hate, as they say.
So much progress, Cathy!! you're a reading machine !On my side, I finished reading Skin Trade and City of Heavenly Fire. I barely slept because of the heat here, so instead of turning around in my bed endlessly I just decided to read. I'm shattered, but it was worth it. Rereading City of Heavenly Fire did me some good. I just love that world. I remember starting that series when I was 16. Oh sweet nostalgia !
On another note, my copy of Prodigy is finally dry, mostly. Some page are still damp on the inside. I swear it's never going to be completely dry. And not from a lack of trying. I let it dry in the sun every day since the accident. At least it's readable now, even though it's in a horrendous state. I've never owned a book in such a bad condition before. I will have to replace it at some point, if I can find a cheap copy second hand.

Yeah, I can't say dog-shifters are my favourite, either. They're too tame. I prefer when there's some wildness in them.

I get it. It's difficult to resist the call of a good paranormal MM romance ;)
I see you've read How to Howl at the Moon. How did you like it? I liked the book well enough, but I still find the concept of dogs turning into human (not the other way around) and possibly finding love with humans weird... I don't know how to feel about it.
Melissa wrote: "My 2nd memoir was great at first, now it is just dragging on and in. I thought I would enjoy the medical aspect since I am a pharmacist. I’m about 60% through and taking a break from it and reading..."Oh bummer!
I hope it'll get better for you.
I'm currently reading the Michelle Obama book and I must say, I find it very interesting. It's a bit long, but I recommend giving it a try. It's very inspiring so far.
I'm so proud of our team. We did so well considering that we started with such a difficult genre/word!
Sonia wrote: "I'm actually enjoying memoirs of a geisha... BUT... I'm only 8% in, and my kindle is telling me I need at least another 8 hours to read it. So.
I'm going to move it for next week."
That might actually be a good thing as memoir is listed as genre on its top shelves page :)
Sonia wrote: "NiceI doubt I'll be finishing any more books this week, but considering that I usually read 2-4 books a week during team challenges and I managed to read SEVEN this week, I'm happy with myself."
Good job !!
Cathy M. wrote: "Yay great job Sonia!I have less than 2 hours left of Game of Thrones so should be done soon. And will finish my last book for Week 1 tonight."
I can't believe you read Game of Thrones so fast. I think it took me about two months when I read it. lol

Too bad. It would have been a good excuse to finally have that book read.
Little question. If I decide to read The Song of Achilles and participate in the BOM discussion by answering all the questions, Do I get the BOM participation points? The DQs ended right before the start of the challenge, so I'm not sure.
Sonia wrote: "Okay, so, if everybody is on board, I don't mind to give Memoir a try, I'll assemble a couple suggestions given on the mods corner later tonight or tomorrow. But, I'm telling you all right now, th..."
sounds good

Elena wrote: "I don't mind memoir at all, I might even read two! :) But if the team decides to respin, that's good with me too.I really enjoyed Tina Fey's book, I listened to it and she's a great narrator, wel..."
Oh right, there's the Michelle Obama book. I wouldn't mind reading that one.
