35559 chapter 1

It's always weird to read a book in which the main character has the same first name as me. haha

I really love the first sentence of the book. "It wasn't a very likely place for disappearances, at least at first glace." It makes it seem so mysterious and dangerous. Something more than meets the eye.

Personally I'd recommend watching the movie first. It's meant to be watched first and foremost and reading the script first might take from your enjoyment of the movie.

That's a better explanation. But it didn't really come across in the movie. For me it really looked like the rain was erasing the print. The aurors seemed to busy repairing the whole city to care. LOL

same here! I didn't want to buy the script when it first came out. But it's just soooo beautiful. And when my bookstore put a discount on the books (I thing they had ordered too many copies...) I couldn't resist any longer !

I agree about the thunderbird venom thing. It makes no sense to me. How come wizards are not affected too? For the memory, maybe it just erases the last few hours/days? what's really curious in the movie too is that the newspaper are erased too becuase of the venomrain... I don't know.
35559 I started the first two chapters.

I really like the preface/prologue of the book. It's powerful. It really sets the tone of what is to follow. It made me excited to read on.

it's one of my favorites scenes too ! that and the ones with the Niffler. It's just hilarious. I remember not being able to stop laughing at the theater!

Haha, the same happened to me the first time I read it. I can't stop myself from picturing the movie and even hear the voice of the actors !

And the art is absolutely gorgeous! Have you seen the cover for The Crimes of Gindelwald yet? It's so beautiful and full of easter eggs. I've seen people theorize about what will happen in the movie based on that cover.

Here it is for those who haven't seen it yet.

35559 I'm going to start a couple of days later. I have too many BRs going on right now. But because I already read it and seen the movie mutliple time, I can still participate in the discussion :)

When I go into my bookshelves the following message appears: "Note: some of our members have reported that not all read dates are showing. If this happened to you, no data was lost. We're currently working to restore this information"
So hopefully the problem will be solved soon.

35559 Been wanting to read it since it came out. It's time I do so !
