35559 @Rina - I hate to be the one to point this out, but we can't use The Kinsman Universe by Ilona Andrews for this challenge as it's an omnibus of 3 previously published novellas ... Or at least, I think we can't.

35559 I just had a look on the spreadsheet, and we completed a lot of U reads. Well done team !!

Consider the whole series recommended ! My favourite in the series is the first one, but it usually is for me in series. However, the second one was, for me, truly amazing as well ! If you want to continue with the series, by all means, go for it. It's really worth it. I love it.

Really? I swear irl it looks more brown. But if you prefer we can use it for #97 set in eastern europe, because it's set in Moldova.

I'm confused, you say Phoenix doesn't count as an animal word because it's a bird. But in the examples given by the mods chicken and egg are listed as acceptable animal words... For me the issue with Phoenix is to know if a mythical bird can be counted as an animal word.

So an enjoyable series, but not really one that sticks with you. Gotcha! Still, I'd be interested to try it one day. :)

35559 I'm going to finish The Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner today, which can work for R, S or T. Then I'm going to try to finish Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi (S, M or T) before the countdown, but I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to.

How do you like this series so far? I’ve always been curious about this series, but haven’t heard enough about it to really convince me to read it.

35559 Yes, indeed. I started it just in case, to have a back-up book for the tags. And I'm fairly certain I can finish it before the end of the round. It is a fast read :)
So if you don't feel like having to power through An Ember in the Ashes, it's fine. I've got us covered.

35559 I'm planning to reread the whole Uglies series. That's already a few U's

35559 I still have some U options, but nothing I'm really in the mood for right now.

35559 I hope we get a good word next round :)

interesting question. Personally, I think we can classify dragons as big fire breathing lizards. I don't why we couldn't. :)

Thank you!"

For Fantasy I recommend:

The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard, #1) by Scott Lynch Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle, #1) by Jay Kristoff The Last Wish (The Witcher, #0.5) by Andrzej Sapkowski Elantris (Elantris, #1) by Brandon Sanderson Thief's Magic (Millennium’s Rule, #1) by Trudi Canavan (Currently reading that, very good so far)

And for Space Opera I cannot recommend The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1) by Becky Chambers enough. the Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman series is very good as well.
