35559 I am making progress. I read some short books and am 1/2 way done with Harlem Shuffle. It is much different then Colson Whiteheads, last book, more of a living life with a hustle and a pray story, but very interesting characters.

I just finished Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead , very riveting and fast based story about crime in the underbelly of Harlem. I liked it a lot and really think Colson Whitehead is a talented author.

I am trying to get in either Dear Miss Metropolitan by Carolyn Ferrell or Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia this month.

Keli, you picked some great books. I just ordered New York by Edward Rutherfurd last week. I already committed to reading Paris by Edward Rutherfurd for another challenge. Both are supposed to be excellent.

I loved The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt , and read it so fast b/c I found it so interesting, so would suggest that one to start.

Happy Big Book Reading 📚

35559 This is a great idea. For this challenge, I will start with my oldest. I am finishing up several challenges, so will not be able to get to that many. Then I want to finish the books from 2020 GR Best Books Lists I chose. I will list those, too since I want to be sure to read. them. That will be what I will use this challenge for. I think my goal will be 30.

I am starting this from 9/14 on, so it will be a big challenge to get 30 in for this one + I am doing several others + finishing up a couple I started at the beginning of the year. Some will cross over, so that will work well.
