35559 Personally I would defend that per the rules of the mini challenge it states

◈ You must read the book listed in the recommendation: series substitutions are not permitted.

They listed the omnibus.

Either way for next week I am pulling out a bunch of space opera and waiting for a ruling

35559 I have the edition listed.
I am also a bit of a Tolkien fanatic and have multiple editions published between 1960 and 2015.

35559 I have been going over the recommendation list for next week and just checking on one thing. The copy of Lord of the Rings listed is an omnibus version (books 1-3) is that correct?

35559 Yes I have a time line. Reading all but the last chapter of each one until the day needed and then posting. I can cover 1000 pages a day while I am laid up. If you would like me swap out I can but I am into the first one already,

35559 Yes, I broke it earlier this year and I tripped over my cat and re-broke it. Also FYI for Jessi and Alysa I sent you both a PM about this week. I didn't want to put it all here

35559 I know I can read a ton next week. my stay-cation isn't really about relaxing. It is me being a clumsy oaf and re-breaking my ankle. so, reading time galore.

Canada says "Thank you for the thought but no thank you" and sends the germs back. (with a box of timbits and some tea)

35559 Having a stay-cation this week so I am adding one more to my list. This will put me in for my max amount of books and I hope this helps us stay in the lead.

35559 Just and FYI for the Captain's, I added my books to the spreadsheet. One book I am reading is on the very bottom (line #62). You will see why when you check. I really didn't know where to put it.
