35559 I agree there was too much about Rachel, it did get annoying sometimes.
I would've preferred less Rachel+Miles love and more Tate+Miles love (not just the sex, but actual romance).

This cracked me up, LOL!
35559 I read this one not so long ago and liked it. There are lots of descriptions of historical events and places, but the book doesn't feel long, if that makes sense. And I learned a lot of new stuff :).
I hope you guys enjoy it!

35559 Finished Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover , read 11/18, 337 pages.

It was also a BR, here's the link if you need it:
Ugly Love Buddy Read

I added it to our spreadsheet.
35559 Just finished and really liked it. I loved finally getting Miles' POV in the present, wish it would've happened sooner. I like the part where he (view spoiler) The ending was great, just what I wanted it to be.
Glad I read this one, I'll be checking out other CH books. I have Hopeless and Maybe Someday on my TBR list :)
35559 I'm on chapter 18 now. I like the writing, love the scene when they're outside and it starts to rain. Not sure I like the past/present switching so much, it's distracting and keeps pulling me away from Tate's story.

35559 @Pigletto, congrats on your diploma!! I hope you're enjoying Map of Time, I liked it, there are a couple of cool twists at the end :)

@Karsyn, thank you for the update!
35559 On chapter 5, so far I like the author's style, I normally love alternating POVs, especially when they're so different. Miles sounds soooo young though, don't know if this will get tiring later on...
I love their first meeting, made me laugh. And I love Tate's relationship with her brother.
35559 Downloaded and ready to go, arghh, couldn't resist :P!
35559 I'm thinking of starting this book soon. I've never read Colleen Hoover before but I've had her on my TBR for a while. Looks like this story is not connected to any of her previous ones and can work as stand-alone.

35559 Hi everyone, looks like you've all been reading great books lately, yeay! I got a lot of reading done this week, I've been posting them straight on our spreadsheet.
I'm currently reading Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts , don't know how I feel about it yet, it's kinda messed up but I'm really curious about how it will end.

@Karsyn, I'm also wondering how a 24 in 48 Read-a-Thon works?

@Karsyn, your book sounds fantastic!

@Ginger, I agree Qhuinn and JM are great, loved their story. And Rhage is a cutie :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I am about ready to pick my next read and this will make it easier!"

You're welcome! Love the BDB series, my fave brother is Wrath but I loved Z and Bella's book. Which is your fave? :)

Yup, sounds like it :). For contemporary romance, my fave is Mia Sheridan. All of her books are really good and no college dramas, really worth checking out.
I see lots on your shelves that I've liked too, especially:
Transcendence, Undeniable, Own the Wind, Fury, Reaper's Property, A Hunger Like No Other (this Kresley Cole series is really good!)
and all of the JR Ward BDB books!

They are not in school. They are both in their 20's, I would definetly say it is adult. ..."

Hmm, I don't remember it being too NA-ish either, the girl maybe, definitely not the hero. I normally relate NA to college dramas too, don't know why cause it's the age group that counts or sets the tone :P.

Well, it's great that we all like different kinds of books!

@Karsyn, I keep forgetting to update here (grrr!) but do remember to do it on our spreadsheet and on my shelf, I'm only adding read books.

No BRs for me so far but may join one soon - maybe.

35559 Ginger wrote: "I am loving the author. Did you read Painted Faces?
I just picked up Killer Queen :D

Oh! I just requested those through my library.
Love funny books. Sounds like you are enjoying them?"

Haven't read Painted Faces yet, I have that one and Still Life with Strings on my TBR, they both sound good.

I love the Dragon Kin series! There are 6 books out now and the 7th will be released at the end of this month sometime. They're funny, sexy, the characters are really crazy in a good way. Hope you enjoy them too, make sure you read them in order cause you get tidbits about characters and events in previous books :)

35559 I'm reading How to Drive a Dragon Crazy, which is part of a series about dragon shifters, there's a lot of crazy action and it's quite funny.
