We have lots and lots of rain this weekend, so I will probably get a good bit of reading done.

I joined Every Heart a Doorway BR. I'm a little behind since it started yesterday and I think most have already finished the book. Maybe the second one I can read with them if I like the first. Will have to see.

I don't think I saw Words of Radiance as a BR I only saw The Way of Kings. I'll ask if I feel up to it. I'm going to see how the other books I said I would read go.

Hi from Team Severus Snape. I'd like to join but I won't be able to start the book until tomorrow and it looks like everyone will have finished by then. I'll see if anyone is still around tomorrow or if you have all moved onto the second book.

Also, I got my copy of the CD audio for Lilac Girls, and I will start that tomorrow. Since there is a day break there is a very very small chance I will catch up at least part way. I will have it finished by the 16th of June for sure.

I found a book with a brown cover that is over 500 pages. It is 60% brown according to TinEye. It is over 1,000 pages. I can read it but it would take me a while.

Checking in from Team Severus Snape. I'm looking forward to reading the book. It's been about a year and a half since I finished the first novel so the first few chapters will likely be getting reacquainted with the story and characters.

Just to be clear, and I think this was already answered, books can be used for either classes or spells but not both, correct?

It also fits herbology mortal and pestle. It has a moral and pestle on the cover.

I guess I'm uncertain because of the way it was worded. It was a prophetic dream but the character didn't know that when she had the dream. It is only when she starts experiencing the things from her dream in exactly the same way she realizes it is a true dream. Hmmm...now that I've written all that out it seems like it would fit.

And my conclusion: use it how it best serves us.

I'm a little unsure if a dream will work in that case. I think it will but I didn't feel like the explanation made it any clearer.

After reading over the info I think my book is good.

I think we were talking about Lilac Girls. It is very close to 500 pages. It's long and I'm a bit worried I might not make it through in time to get the BOM points. I got the audiobook so I didn't realize it was so close to 500 pages. It is 17.5 hours of audio though. That's longer than my typical audiobook.

Although, last year I listened to Moby Dick 32 hours of boredom. I wouldn't recommend it. I was so happen when one of the discs was scratched and skipped liked 15 minutes of a rant about the color white and death. Foreshadowing that hits you over the head. Also, an unreliable narrator. I could continue on about all the reasons I dislike Moby Dick. Funny thing is I've really enjoyed stories that are a retelling of Moby Dick or involved the story of Moby Dick somehow. I saw a BR for it and I kind of want to tell them not to waste their time, but maybe they will enjoy it.

My copy of the book book just arrived at the library for me to pick up, so I'll be ready when those reading The Devil In Spring are ready.

Library has notified me that Hello Stranger has arrived for me to pick up. Yay!

I should be getting Lilac Girls tomorrow. Maybe I can catch up with the BOM discussion if I play it constantly.

Sure, the Devil in Spring was fun. I'll stop by after you get started and discuss with you all.

I noticed for the book I'm reading currently there is a discrepancy in page numbers. Then I noticed that page number didn't start until after all the stuff at the beginning and it started with page 1. There were about 10 unnumbered pages at the beginning.

@Laura I could start The Invasion of the Tearling anytime after the 17th of May. I will need to pick it up from my library. I checked and it is available. I'm flexible so whenever works best for you will be great.

I also noticed a book I want to read The Invasion of the Tearling so I'm going to see about that. This would be all so much easier if the app had links for books and reply. When I'm at work this is the best I can do though.

@Laura I would be interested in reading The Invasion of the Tearling by Erika Johansen with you.

I'm glad we were able to get others to join us for Hello Stranger. I'll have to see about finishing the thread and checking in.

Looks like it is going to be all our team reading it. Hopefully some others are interested too.
