SPELLS ARE DONE!!!

That means you do not need to continue to post letters in your completion posts. Unless you want to, of course...."

Yay! I was really hoping we had everything to finish that. It looks like we have extra books too.
35559 The diversity in the novels is great. I know it has been said and you are saying again. It seems so normal in the stories that you don't notice it unless you are looking for it.

35559 I'm hoping that "later" comes before my next trip to the library. That way if we need a specific book I might be able to pick it up.

35559 I keep seeing posts saying later today we will give info for Tri-Wizard. I guess the good thing about the waiting is I'm getting a chance to finish up buddy reads and the library books I currently have.
35559 I've finally gotten to starting this book. So far I'm doing a lot of remembering what happened in the last book. I was very confused with the opening from the Nightbringer but then I remembered.

I'm maybe 4-5 chapters in and I'm struggling to get bak into the story. I really liked the previous book so I'm not sure if I'm just not in the mood or if it is the change in the story. I'll see as I continue reading.

35559 That is strange. When I made the post I opened to the last page of the book. There was an exert from another book and maybe that accounts for the extra pages. I really don't know what else it could be and I'm not sure which page number you want to use. I checked and without the exert it is 360 pages but with 376 pages.

35559 Read it again this morning and went in and fixed a few things that were likely me changing my mind in the middle of a thought or where I left out a word.

35559 After Sunshine's edits--I went in and moved things around a bit more. I am pretty sure I'm happy with it this time. I might actually turn this into something longer. I think I might for my first "History of Magic" paragraph as well. If we decided to use this, do you need me to list the books I used as more than links in the story?

She is the Stolen Songbird, a daughter of the dragon, and she sings for no one. When they come for her, the land is Caged in Winter. Her mother kisses her One Last Time before they take her into the Storm's Heart. The snow and ice cling to her hair, Red Rising in her cheeks as they walk away from the only home she has known. They lead her to the Sacred Waters, and make her drink. The salt wakes the dragon as she swallows, and she wants to scream until the Magic Bleeds from her skin in drops of silver. Her reflection in the water watches and listens rippling even when she is still. People gather behind her. She glares at the water her lips a tight line from which only silence falls. They will have no song.

35559 I know it is longer now but I needed to add some transitions so it didn't feel choppy. Give me a few more hours and I'll likely think of more changes.

35559 The land is Caged in Winter, like she knew it would be, when they come for her. Before they leave the village traveling into the Storm's Heart, her mother kisses her One Last Time leaning in close and reminding her of the power of the dragon's daughter. The snow and ice cling to her hair, Red Rising in her cheeks until it burns as they walk away from the only home she has known. The men her lead her to the Sacred Waters, and make her drink. It is salty. She remembers salt wakes magic, and she wants to scream until the Magic Bleeds from her skin in drops of silver. She is the Stolen Songbird, a daughter of the dragon, and she sings for no one. Her reflection in the still water watches and listens along with those of the men gathered around her waiting for her song. She glares at the water her lips a tight line from which only silence falls.

I just looked at it again this morning and I'm not very happy. I'm going to do some editing, that is if no one else wants to write something. I'll probably do the editing anyway.

35559 Maybe for history of magic...

The land is Caged in Winter, like she knew it would be, when they come for her. Before they leave the village traveling into the Storm's Heart, her mother kisses her One Last Time. The snow and ice cling to her hair, Red Rising in her cheeks until it burns. The men her lead her to the Sacred Waters, and make her drink. It is salty on her tongue. She wants to scream until the Magic Bleeds from her skin in drops of silver. She is the Stolen Songbird and only sings when no one is listening. Now even her reflection is listening and waiting for the dragon's daughter to sing.

35559 Enjoy your evening. They are nice.

Ugh cleaning...I really need to clean as well. My orchids and other plants have been invested with bugs and I almost had gotten them all clean and then I didn't clean them for a few weeks and the bugs are back nasty little buggers. So that's my big cleaning project. Spray plants with soap and then wash them after soap dries and hope that it doesn't kill them. It was pretty hard on one of my orchids and it dropped all its flowers. :( My other orchids seem happy and put out flower stocks. I love when they bloom so I'm glad they seem happy.

Hope everyone gets some good reading time this weekend.

35559 Still waiting on the announcement. This weekend is going to be crazy I think. Lots of driving so I'll be listening to a lot of A Feast for Crows. However, I probably won't have a lot of reading time. That's how it goes sometimes though. I going to try and keep the number of books I'm reading at once below 3 as I think I enjoy them more when I'm not switching and switching and forgetting.

35559 I haven't started all the buddy reads that started at the end of June for the same reason. Yesterday I picked a quick read and then started a second quick read. I'm hoping they announce before I finish, so I can start so of my longer fantasy buddy reads. I've notice lots of buddy reads have slowed way down at this point I guess I'm not the only one to over commit.
