35559 Yes, you can start reading for Wheel.

35559 I’d be interested in another back room BOM.

35559 I updated the sheet and added the two BOM I’m planning on reading. I may end up switching things around later we will see.

35559 I’ll probably read two of the classics I listed. I have a few books I’d like to read that aren’t classics so I don’t want to stretch myself.
I did get the YA BOM so I’m planning on reading that. I am mostly on my phone but I am normally fine using them on my phone. I’ll add the books I’m planning today.

35559 Thank you for the link.

35559 I’d also like an invite to the back room. This is not what I typically read in romance but I’m willing to see how it is. Thanks for letting us know it was free on kindle.

35559 Here is the link to my shelf.

I also have a few classics I can listen to starting on Friday. I'm going to start with Kim by Rudyard Kipling. Then I'll pick from Faro's Daughter by Georgette Heyer, The Scarlet Pimpernel by Emmuska Orczy, Black Beauty by Anna Sewell, and The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane.

Update: I have a hold on The Upside of Unrequited but I am 7th in line for 3 copies so there is a pretty good chance I won't get it in time.

35559 I’m curious about the difficult letters. It lists I Q O U X Y Z but the words on the wheel do not have Q X Y Z so those are impossible letters unless there is something I’m missing.

35559 I could potentially read Colleen Hoover if we get new adult. I don’t mind her books and it seems like most of them are tagged new adult.

35559 So I can find that random book that has a FPG tag of horror but is actually not horror?
Jun 11, 2019 06:22AM

35559 Hi all,
I will post my shelf when I get on my computer next. I find links annoying in the app. I participated in Wheel last year.
I will look for a few classic books. Coming from uno I’m going to need to keep reminding myself of the 160 page minimum. I mostly listen to classics so I have to see if I can find any that are not too long.
I’m mostly alright with the listed genres. However, I do not read horror. I don’t like being scared.
I will have to see about the BOM. I will try and at least participate in daily questions. It will depend a little on getting the books from the library.
I have not read the book that is our team name.

35559 I also just finished the first book I added to my TBR. Moloka’i. I listened to the audiobook and I really enjoyed it. I think I’m a little late reading this but I am glad I finally got to it.

35559 I decided to add a few books from 2017 from my list. I have been really enjoying being surprised by books from early in my TBR list. I discovered a couple series I'm am enjoying or already finished.

I also finished the last book on my book from 2014, so now I just need to get through all the books from 2013.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford This book has been on my list since 2014. I really enjoyed this story and the history behind it has been something I've been interested in for a long time.

The Singer of All Songs by Kate Constable This was a nice light middle grade/young adult novel. I liked the fantasy elements and am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Tangled Web (Diezian Empire, #1) by Crista McHugh This fantasy romance novel was so much better than I expected. I've since read every book in the series. I'm so glad I found the series the characters were great and I really liked the world.

35559 I finished a book The Lie (Skyy Huntington, #1) by Holly Hudspeth yesterday from 2013 and I almost removed it from my list but I was able to get a copy with my Kindle Unlimited trail so I thought I would give it a try. I have not liked urban fantasy the last few times I have read it and this was tagged urban fantasy. Now I've read it I can say that it really wasn't urban fantasy, but more fantasy. I was surprised by how much I liked it. Its always nice to be surprised in a good way. It does have elements of urban fantasy but it was set in a smaller town and the "fight" was less of the focus. I am starting the second book now.

35559 I just checked my TBR for duplicates and that was 16 books from my shelf. Now I just need to go through and hope I can be as successful as others at removing books from the list.

35559 Karen that sounds like a cool extension for chrome. Would you be willing to share the name? I could really use that.

35559 I have around 850 books on mine and I often find I don’t want to read any of them. What I hate is picking one and then finding the library doesn’t have it. I’ve had to start at shelf for those books.

35559 I keep hoping on my next peak of this thread I will find an announcement. I’m not quite sure what to do now that uno is over. I keep think this book fits so many cards, but then realizing it doesn’t matter. I guess I’ll settle in and wait patiently or not so patiently.

35559 I finished another book from way back today. Salt (The Last Flotilla Book 1) by Colin F. Barnes
It was an interesting post-apocalypse book. I don't really read much in that niche anymore so I was surprise that I enjoyed it as much as I did. I do find that these type of books make me feel a little like I should be preparing for the worst. However, I'm not really sure how I would prepare for the flooding of the world. Get a boat? Nope, that isn't going to happen.
