Heli’s comments from the Nothing But Reading Challenges group.

I'm going to start with but I want to finish first. I am about half way through.

My mom used to read to me when I was little. But I did not actually love books until I was in third grade. From the library on wheels I found Enid Blyton and her Famous five-books. Those stories were so exciting! So I read them all and went looking for more.

My mom and sister both read a lot. My husband does not read at all, because he thinks I read too much. And my boys only read books when they have to for school.

Family: Husband of 20 years and two sons 19 and 17. No pets.

Favorite genre: Thrillers, dystopian, time travel, literary fiction, ya mostly. Sometimes sci-fi, fantasy, chic lit and romance.

TV: I rarely watch movies anymore. I like old movies like Gone With The Wind and Marnie. I also love Forrest Gump, The Pianist and The Matrix. My favourite tv shows are The Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones, Homeland, Doctor Who, Modern Family and Friends. Oh, I almost forgot to mention The Biggest Loser ;)

Group Challenges: Wobble was my first group challenge. This will be my second group challenge.

Book recommendation: I absolutely loved My Sister's Keeper, Rebecca, Still Alice and A Monster Calls. And I'm looking forward to hearing book recommendations from you!

I work three shifts in a group home for mentally disabled. I would love to be able to say that in my spare time I'm active and work out, but I mostly just end up reading books.
