35559 Hi Team! I'm hoping to finish Shifting Shadows: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson by tomorrow. It's a collection of short stories and might be used for the goal where the same vowel appears at least 5 times, in this case the letter 'O'.

I'm planning to read A Grave Matter next. Btw I signed up for writing the DQ's for Uprooted, hopefully I will get a spot :) I read the book His Majesty's Dragon by the same author and remember enjoying her writing style and the world building.
35559 I'm in and would like to volunteer for DQ's (team Athena).

Concerning Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, I understand :) I've tried to read it multiple times, in the end I picked up the audiobook. It didn't help, I fell asleep every time. After one year I'm still around page 300. I think the story is good and want to know more but the pacing is extremely slow.

35559 Finished my first book for the challenge, posted it on the concerned thread.

About me; I live near Brussels, Belgium and I'm a die hard chocolate addict. I majored in history last year and some of my favourite subjects are forensic medecine and military history. One of my favourite places on Earth so far is the Loire valley in France (closely followed by Galway, Ireland), when I was younger I wanted to be a guide on historical locations or in musea. My favourite genres are historical fiction/romance/mystery and urban-fantasy. Oh, and I'm a book sniffer, can't help it :)

I'm already thinking it's time to reread them :) "

Me too Tea! I want to know more about Sebastian's past and family ;) In Who Buries the Dead I was a bit sad for him.

35559 I'm currently reading a book that starts with a 'W', it's Who Buries the Dead and I'm liking the book a lot (I'm 50% in). I really recommend the series.

Hi there Sonia!

Haha, I thought so, in the end hobbits always find each other . She's welcome to visit but of course we won't divulge our secret plans and schemes :p

35559 Good morning team! So excited the challenge finally started. I will read Who Buries the Dead (Sebastian St. Cyr #10) by C.S. Harris and The Texan's Wager (Wife Lottery, #1) by Jodi Thomas this week. Unfortunately, they don't fit any current goals.

My shelf is NBRC Tower Teams IV.

35559 I live in Belgium (GMT +1).
I'm planning to read Six of Crows. I didn't enjoy my last read from Karin Slaughter which was A Faint Cold Fear, not so sure about Pretty Girls. DQ's are a lot of fun to do but I don't know if I will be on schedule this time.
I'm planning to use my first post (post 30) to track my reads during Tower Teams.

35559 Welcome to the team Ellie and Karen! I can't wait for the challenge to start.

Btw, I've noticed we can vote again for the Goodreads Choice Awards , I like perusing the lists to check what I might have missed :) Hope you found some favourite reads this year.
35559 Thank you Karen & Ashley Marie, I surely will :) Looking forward to group read this one.

35559 I think that everyone from our team checked in. Can't wait for the challenge to start :) This is my second TT challenge and honestly I really love all the challenges in this group but this one is my favourite. I think the Mods are doing an amazing job organizing and improving these challenges.

I don't plan my reading but I did create a shelf for all the books that need priority for some kind of reason. Especially continuing series is one of things I need to work on during TT. Btw the picks for the BOM's are looking great.

Fall is my favourite season so we made a long walk in the forest and the colours are beautiful. Hope you all had a lovely weekend too!
35559 I read somewhere that the book is set in the The Grisha world. Is it required to read the trilogy first before starting this one? I read Shadow and Bone but I was wondering if there might be spoilers for the later books in this one.

35559 Hi Teammates, nice to meet you!

1. How many books I plan to read:
I had to take a break from GR a couple of months ago (had to slow my reading down due to RL) but I'm reading a book a week, I'm hoping to get back to my former reading speed during this TT challenge. Also, I recently went to a book fair and bought an excessive amount of books so definitely time to get back to it.
2. My favourite books:
The D'Artagnan Romances - Les Trois Mousquetaires by Alexandre Dumas , Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews , The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard, #1) by Scott Lynch , The Emperor's Edge (The Emperor's Edge, #1) by Lindsay Buroker , Howl's Moving Castle (Howl's Moving Castle, #1) by Diana Wynne Jones , What Angels Fear (Sebastian St. Cyr, #1) by C.S. Harris and The Anatomist's Wife (Lady Darby, #1) by Anna Lee Huber
3. Your ultimate book boyfriend: Athos, Curran Lennart, Sebastian St. Cyr, Bran Cornick, Sebastian Gage and Wolf from Masques.

I don't have a particular favourite band, my taste in music vary depending on my mood. At this moment I will go with Daft Punk, Enya and Eurythmics.

I'm currently reading Mortal Arts (Lady Darby, #2) by Anna Lee Huber and E Squared by Matt Beaumont . Looking forward sharing and discussing books with you all.
