Ok, I'm up still ;) watching baseball and reading my P book. We have one more card coming. I'm tempted to discard that inflation one. It's experience points keep me from doing it :/

We need to complete one more card before I can attempt another Boss Monster. As you all can imagine, they are getting harder and I move along.... Just realized some can poison our hero during the battle :/

I have discarded the Healing card. it is not worth the effort for only 1 point and 2 minor potions.

Do we want to attempt the Inflationary card???

One Captain gave the following advice:

We had this one. A #2 in series, with the word Wonderful in the title works (1~2). A #5 in series with the word For in the title works 4~5). Or a #3 in series with To or Too would work (2~3). Or a #9 with the word Hate (8~9).

The # only has to sound like a number, not actually be a number.

SO for example the following books would work:

or

Our hero is at level 8, and needs 78 experience points to level up.
We have 4 cards but even if we finish all of them, it would still only give us 32 exp points. It looks like I will need to do more healing and fighting. I'll wait til later this evening to see how we progress. I have to use any gold, we are up to 82 Gold pieces!

I haven't gotten an answer. Another Captain suggested the Alphabet series by Sue Grafton....

Considering dumping that card...??? It's 10 experience, but tough books.

I fought off another boss monster.... small one, with only a 20 experience payout. But it is well worth it, more than the monsters on our cards..

TEAM UPDATE !

Off to bed friends , but wanted to keep everyone updated with our quickly changing spreadsheets! I have killed a 2nd Boss Monster, #2 on the spreadsheet. Go take a look at the boss tab (RPG BOSS). There are lots of good monsters there!
I have also discarded and filled in lots of cards. See RPG Log tab on our thread for details.

I meant to tell you, I liked that Square book. It was set in Texas. Opposite side of the state from me, more of a Mexican influence ... nice quick read!
