35559 Just a bit over 50%, which means that I am on track! Though I do like to be ahead, so to me this is like being behind, haha.
I can feel good about all those books that I deleted though. This fall I will try to take the time to do more of that as well. Maybe stuff I added in 2015-16.

Cool. Hopefully the Mods will let everybody know the next round's Spell-Out words a little in advance of the actual deadlines though. (They usually do). It's always nice when it's, like, Wed night and you can start planning ahead for Fri night. :D

I grew up almost entirely in upstate NY, so I am very curious to see how it is depicted in that book :)

35559 I plan to answer DQs for the Adult July BOM, but unfortunately can't volunteer to write any, as I am tentatively traveling during that time.
Luckily, it's The Sun Down Motel, which I've been interested in reading anyway, and it's on at least 2 other teams' rec lists!

35559 I just gave Navi a bunch of nonfiction recs, so I guess I will post them here too in case anyone else is interested! :D

Coming over from Don Quixote again -- this time to answer Navi's call for nonfiction recs!

Here are a few that I have given 5 stars...
Not My Father's Son by Alan Cumming Foreign Devils on the Silk Road The Search for the Lost Treasures of Central Asia by Peter Hopkirk Exile in Guyville How a Punk Rock Redneck Faggot Texan Moved to West Hollywood and Refused to Be Shiny and Happy by Dave White Plucked A History of Hair Removal by Rebecca M. Herzig The Billionaire's Vinegar The Mystery of the World's Most Expensive Bottle of Wine by Benjamin Wallace Two Lives by Vikram Seth The Power Broker Robert Moses and the Fall of New York by Robert A. Caro Krakatoa The Day the World Exploded August 27, 1883 by Simon Winchester Sweet Tooth A Memoir by Tim Anderson ...
And pretty much anything by Rick Bragg or Mary Roach.

I had already rec'd Just Mercy in my earlier rec post here.
I just watched the movie too -- good, but the book is way better ;D

35559 I have come from Don Quixote to answer Sammy's call for Sports novels...
If anyone reads MM, I highly recommend these two hockey series by Avon Gale:

Scoring Chances series:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/1655...

Hat Trick series (co-authored with Piper Vaughn):
https://www.goodreads.com/series/2091...

I discovered these when I had to find a "hockey player" book for a task during the Right Side Up Spring challenge last year. At first I was like... ugh, sports. But these books are addictive, and now I know all about hockey! :D

ETA: just to be clear, these are MM romance, but not trashy. They are real books! lol

35559 I saw The Cruel Prince on a couple other teams' Book Recs lists. I should probably finish some other Holly Black series before starting a new one (a constant problem for me, esp with certain authors!) but I may very well end up reading TCP before Wheel is done :D

35559 Hello Cats!
I am wandering over here from Team Don Quixote basically just to bug Jessi, lol.
*BUG*

Anybody read anything really good for Wheel yet?

35559 I finished my 2nd book earlier today (and updated spreadsheet).
I also added a 6th book, also for "T" and also tagged CREEPY.
:D

35559 Finished #16
Tommy Nightmare (The Paranormals, #2) by J.L. Bryan

Liked but didn’t love, though I do still plan to continue the series.
This book was impressive in that I got into it right away even though it has been over 7 years (!) since I read Book #1.

35559 I have two Tagged books that I am currently reading. One (CREEPY) will be done tomorrow, and the other one (TWILIGHT) the next day, or Thursday at the latest. If we end up having more than 10, I don’t think it’s a big problem, we just won’t get extra points. So it’s probably better to plan a little over 10, to err on the side of caution just in case somebody doesn’t finish something :)

I just had to look up what you meant by "RH cozy" -- I was like... there is a Rocky Horror cozy? lol

35559 Murderbot is so great.
I am mad at any book that is not a Murderbot book.
(Well, not really. But still. 🙂)

35559 I only have like 30 pages left of Network Effect (it is so goooooood!!!), and I have also started Blameless, but my partner is doing an elaborate tandem online meal right now with friends in other countries (lunch here, dinner there) and vodka is happening...
One shot, I feel it. I am old 😂

35559 If it helps any, the only NetGalley listing for that book is for paperback ISBN 9781728210230, which is same as the one listed on Amazon as 432 pages.
I am GR Librarian but trying to refrain from editing stuff for myself/my team during challenges, in case of conflict of interest.
You may want to take it to the Librarians Group.

I noticed that Emeli’s “stepdad” book also does not have a page count on GR.
ETA: well, it didn’t until a couple of hours ago, apparently!

Not yet, but I want to. I remember almost voting for it in BOMs during the last TT, but then switching to Ninth House for strategic purposes, lol.
