Thanks, Elen! :)

Fixed! Good catch! Thanks, Claire :D

Buddy Reads don't have a similar rule, as they're less formal, really.
With Buddy Reads, you just need to have started/finished the book within the challenge timeframe and interacted (ie more than one comment) on the thread. :)

It's called Midnight, Texas and airs on NBC. Season one was last summer, and it was renewed for a season two back in February. Season one took most of the three books and condensed the story down, and the characters were quite a bit different from their book counterparts, but the few episodes I've watched were decent.

Lilac Girls started on May 16, so you'll be fine as long as you finish it before June 16.
Stop putting so much pressure on yourself. It's a game! :D

If we don't finish a BOM in May, but participate in comments, does it still count?"
You have 30 days from the start date to finish it for it to count. So if a BOM started on May 13, you have until June 13 to finish it and make enough comments to get credit for it. :)
After the 30 days, though, you still get credit for finishing the book if you read the whole thing within the challenge dates, but no BOM bonus points.

Right? I'd have been SO PISSED had someone done that to me. And then over the next few months, not showing up at my door and talking to me in person to figure things out? bah!

PROPHECY! Chapter 33 reveals two pieces of a big prophecy that will drive the narrative of the second story. :)

I liked Secret Window also! Creepy and gross, but entertaining! LOL

Awful movie, so let's hope the story is better for sure! LOL!

Dang that's a big one!!! :)

Three cheers for Sonia! Taking on the task no one wants AND reading Dresden again! :D

I feel like Hermione, Ron, and Harry were all other houses, put together in Gryffindor because it was where they all needed to be. :)

1. Hermione Granger (duh!) -- While I'm a true blue blooded Ravenclaw, Hermione is my favorite character by a long shot. She works hard, she studies hard, and she's consistently and constantly there for her friends. She also still finds time to fight for causes she believes in - from epic fights against Voldemort to trying to earn rights for House Elves - and lives with passion and gusto.
2. Dobby - Dobby was a brave, free house elf. He was Harry Potter's friend to the bitter end. Even when he didn't yet know him, and his master had ordered him to do otherwise, Dobby pushed the limits of what he could and couldn't do in order to do what he felt was right and protect Harry, eventually making the ultimate sacrifice to save a handful of people.
3. Molly Weasley - only the best mom ever written. She loves fiercely, protects her family and works to keep them all happy and fed and loved... and she STILL finds room in her heart for Harry when he needs a family. Plus her famous line... Not MY daughter, you B****!!!
Shout-outs to the handful of runner ups that ALMOST made it - Snape, Dumbledore, Queenie, Newt Scamander, Neville, Minerva McGonagall and Luna. :)
(Edited to swap out Molly Weasley for McGonagall... how could I forget Molly???)
