35559 I read the BOM The Tainted Cup back before release as an ARC. It was pretty good. I missed the request window for the second one.

35559 Finished Thief of Night and marked it complete on the spreadsheet.

Going to read the rules now about Mini #1. I have kind of ignored that one. But The Society of Unknowable Objects that I'm currently reading looks like it's going to have the MC go to Hong Kong, maybe some other places, starts in London, etc

35559 Tress of the Emerald Sea that I finished last night works for vinegar and watermelon (added notes to the planning spreadsheet).

My current read, Thief of Night, has vinegar, lobster, strawberry, banana, and bacon... also marked on the spreadsheet with notes.

You can go look for vinegar and ube in text. LOL"

I've found quite a few of those lately. Honestly, even after all this time, I still constantly notice vinegar, salt, potatoes, fish in books. It's like I'm still trained to make My Restaurant Rocks fish & chips. LOL

I really should have tracked those books too, for future reference if we ever do that challenge again.

35559 I finished my book Tress of the Emerald Sea just now. I’ve marked it on the spreadsheet as finished but when I get to my computer in the morning I’ll go back in and add character initials etc

Ugh I can't imagine. Those are miserable little creatures."

Right? I hate that I had to kill them because we need bees and their pollinator services, but multiple people that come to our house on a regular basis are highly allergic. And they are in a high traffic area. How it took this long for them to go nuts and swarm is beyond me, considering all the people in and out of that area already.

35559 I just mowed the front yard (I mowed the back yard on Friday before we had a storm)... and was swarmed and stung by yellow jackets. I hate those little winged demon f*#&%rs so much. OUCH. :( :( :(

I am not a gorgonzola fan either, or really any type of bleu or stinky cheese.

35559 Question for the captains:

the book I finished last night has a guy describing the events of a day 17 years prior, and he mentions him and another kid at the time playing soccer. Does that qualify for the "playing football/soccer" task for Germany on Mini3, or does it need to be a person playing it in the present of the story?
