35559 ok lunch time means i can play on GR haha. I'm Kim from South Carolina, USA. i enjoy a lot of different kinds of books and like to change it up.

i haven't done this challenge before but the overall categorizing of books seem straight forward enough. i'm excited to see what twists will be thrown our way. my shelf is NBR book games 2024.

my 2 questions are:
1. do we add our own books into the spreadsheet? or do captains take care of that?

2. other challenges i've done have used a review thread to show completed books; what is the process here?

thanks in advance!!!

35559 Cleaning out the TBR closet 2024 challenge
Duration: 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024

I tried this once before and fizzled out of practice so hopefully I can do better this year. When I pulled up my TBR, I started removing books from 2015 so hopefully that's a good start.

As of this post, there are 735 on my TBR (until I go on IG later and get recs from BookTok lol).

My goal is 50 from before this year: 30 from before 2020 and 20 from 2021-2022. That feels realistic I think. When I post the completion I'll put date I added to the shelf to keep track :)

Before 2020:
1. Queen's Fool - TBR: 9/5/13 - Finished: 1/4/24
2. The Last Boleyn - TBR: 8/5/2012 - Finished: 2/9/24
3. Kitchen Confidential - TBR: 7/10/2015 - Finished: 3/5/24
4. Deathless - TBR: 4/24/2015 - Finished 5/21/24
5. The Historian - TBR: 1/3/2017 - Finished 8/29/24
6. The Way I Used to Be - TBR 2/9/2016 - Finished 9/22/2024
7. The Time Machine - TBR: 8/2/2015 - Finished 7/31/24

2021-22 List
1. All the Crooked Saints - TBR: 1/4/2021 - Finished 4/15/24
2. Under the Whispering Door - TBR: - 9/1/2021 - Finished 7/22/24

Total removed: 30
Also, I realized that I may have been a little strict with myself in choosing what books to read from. I haven't gone back to see what books I've read off my TBR that could technically fall into this year ranges. However, I am proud of myself for continuing to update!
