No. My calculation for the # of items is based on their calculation. I just limited to those 300 pages and more. Its on the Summary Tab.

35559 Looks like April accidentally wrote over that. I put it back.

We have 74 Books over 200 pages. I'd say add the over 300-page books since we get more items for those.

35559 Susan, There is a book of your highlighted in Purple. Is there a reason for that?

35559 You don't have to change what you are doing. I've been updating because when I create meals its easier for my by page rather than by item. Since it's a personal thing for me, I don't expect anyone to make any changes to how they are tracking.

If we could do it by chapter that would be great. Way easier than by page.

35559 Steph...I just read Logan's Need for hunt. I copied what I found to yours. Let me know if you find anything I missed.

I think this is a fair plan.

I probably do need help making meals, but I thought Vian, who has done this challenge before, was going to help. I was going to start on Thursday since we will probably have 60 books by then, starting with the highest page count books.

35559 I just read a book that had absolutely no specific food in it. They ate Pizza or went out to dinner. I'm shocked. They had lots of booze, but the book was too short to use.

Great. Let us know if we should change our process at all. :) Welcome Back!

Just not be last. That's my motto

35559 I messaged Kat about TART. She said we can sign up as our group of 4, but if for some reason Hayley says no, we can continue as a group of 3. Sound good?

Should we just assume she will say yes? Why does she always get to go on vacation? :)
Sep 08, 2022 07:10AM

35559 Has anyone seen Hayley in other challenges or groups?

@Steph and @Susan: I'd do TART, but we need 4 and I haven't heard back from Hayley on the message I sent. Hope everything is ok.

Me Too. Books we read for that would be able to be used for this too..... I was thinking about it, but whatever you all want. :)

Some of the questions I asked didn't get answers that I understood, so I'm just going with my gut.

We can stop tracking burgers, but we still might need the ingredients that are on the burgers. Like cheese, buns and tomato. That can help make sandwiches.

Maybe Vian can provide some assistance as they are the only ones that have played this before. Or we can just play as we think is right and see where that gets us.

35559 I can't seem to concentrate on a book to save my life. So, I've added a new tab to our planning spreadsheet with some choices of sandwiches and stuff to make. I looked at a few menus from my area for ideas.
Sep 04, 2022 02:00PM

35559 Is a burger considered a sandwich?
Sep 04, 2022 01:32PM

35559 Question: Wine. I know the book has to be over 500 pages to use this as a drink but if we want to use as part of a pasta dish can it be under 500 pages? For example: SALMON + DILL PASTA: Garlic seared salmon, fresh dill, butter wine sauce, green onion, lemon

I would need pasta, salmon, dill, butter, wine, onion and lemon...right?

I hid the columns for author and character so I can unhide them or you can add them to the food area, which ever works best. Then make sure to change the one field to "Spell" instead of "Scavanger".

The items from the 500 point books can be used at any time. So we can bank the Dessert and drinks for any round.

I'm checking on the items. so if we use 2 of the 3 vinegars in round 1, can we use the last in round 2?
