Elevation by Stephen King. It's the Kindle edition and is 160 Pages. I thought the rule said the books needed to be more than 160. So is it 161 Pages and up or does 160 work? Thanks.

Cover:

Author: Robert Harris
Date Read: 10/30/18 - 10/31/18
Rating: 3 Stars
Page Total: 368
Spell-Out Letters:
P - Pompeii - Book Title

I run a busy sports bar and I'm pretty well tied up on Saturdays and Sundays but I can help until that point.

If someone wants to confirm for me that this book cover is purple enough, I can read it in time if we still need that bonus book. Let me know!

Title: Disappearance at Devil's Rock
Author: Paul Tremblay
Series:
Narrator (if you listen to audio): Erin Bennett
Translator (for whatever version you read):
Date Read: 10/28/18 - 10/30/18
Rating: 4 Stars
Page Total: 327
Spell-Out Letters:
P - Paul Tremblay (Author)
E - Elizabeth - Main Character

Cover:

Title: At Least He's Not On Fire: A Tour of the Things That Escape My Head
Author: Chris Philbrook
Date Read: 10/27-10/28
Rating: 3 Stars
Page Total: 216 (Books between 201 pages and 300 pages = 10 points)
Spell-Out Letters:
P - Philbrook (Authors Last Name)
Bonus Options:
Word in text --> 20 points
P - Purple Queen (Character mentioned several times Pages 148-196 but doesn't speak)
P - Purple the word is mentioned many times in the text between pages 138 and 196

I'm starting with a book by Chris Philbrook. That gives us a P in the Authors name to start. If it will work elsewhere. I'll let you know. Seems like people are already working on the special challenges so I'll jump into just spelling out the word. Good luck all!

I haven't played a challenge of this sort before. Can I clarify that we are attempting to spell out the words Black and Blue?
Thanks!

After all this craziness has died down, I'm looking to do a true beta test of the website.
Goals would be:
- Sign up on the website
- Automatically get sorted into teams
- Full game on..."
I like the thought of bingo, I'm not familiar with Wheelathon so I can't speak to that one. I've really enjoyed the challenge so far but I'm with Bethany, a little less cutthroat would be okay. I feel like it's such a hectic pace, almost like homework! I am really enjoying myself. Especially interacting with teammates. And it would be nice to learn how to maneuver around the website.

Foo dogs are actually lions. In China, where foo dogs originated, they are called shi, meaning “lion,” or shishi, meaning “stone lion.
Chinese guardian lions - Wikipedia

Chinese guardian lions or Imperial guardian lions, often miscalled "Foo Dogs" in the West, are a common representation of the lion in imperial China.

Sorry all. I researched this before submitting to the group. I thought it should count.
