I will look for some shorter books too. I am working on 2 longer books , that I didn’t finish for round one but should finish in a couple of days. We are having fun though😀

1 star - I wouldn't have finished it without the challenge/reading group here. I can see how others might like it, but it just wasn't for me. I gave it 2 weak stars... I didn't care for it either.

15: The characters each have a flaw in that they hold back a piece of themselves from their family and the ones they love. Which character is the hardest to read about and why?For me this is Charlotte. I am in her age group and I can't relate to her attitude to her children. I would never give my child a weight watcher coupon for her birthday!!!!! I can't even image it. She is also so negative. Her childhood wasn't even that bad, heck she grew up in France.

6. Cord: he jettisons a year and a half of sobriety very easily, though I did enjoy how the author then used his drunken ramble through the ship to show off some of the glorious absurdities of massive cruise ships. Will Cord be able to pull himself together over the cruise or is he going to self-sabotage any happiness he might have had? Do you think Charlotte would react badly to his coming out of the closet? Any guesses on how he gets outed?I actually found it very credible that Cord starts drinking again . It often happens. Of all the characters I am rooting for Cord.
