No pressure Stacey, I “read” audios quicker tend to read at double speed and can generally knock out a book every other day, ebooks and paperbacks are slower but I do enjoy them.

KU is great, I did unsubscribe a couple of months back after having subscribed for about 6 years or so but the Backroom BOMs are on KU and they were doing a 2 month free promotion.

Day1 DQs 16 May: Prologue - The Husband Without a Wife

1. How are you liking the way the story is written with its alternating POVs ? Is there a POV you prefer ?

I do like the alternating POVs my favorite is definitely the cat’s.

2. Through the flashbacks we get to know Satoru's personality a bit more. What do you make of him so far ? What did you think about his way of helping his friend Kosuke?

He seems a kind person and this comes across very well. His connection to Nana also highlights his affinity to kindness

3. Talking about Kosuke, what's up with his parents ? It seemed to me that Kosuke was genuinely convinced that his father would agree to keep the cat (Hachi). What did you think about his backstory ?

This is a difficult one and there are generational differences here. Despite his difficult upbringing he still wants to please his father.

4. Why do you think Satoru can't take care of Nana anymore ?
The only reason I can think of is that he is ill and requires hospital treatment where Nana cannot go.

I would say that the instrument needs to be visible, I don't think this one will work as you cannot actually see the guitar.

That’s alright it wasn’t until I put the countdown clocks up that I realised it was 9pm and not 9am, like the last couple of NBRC challenges. I may start a couple of chapters of a physical/ebook Sunday night if I manage to get my final book that I’m currently reading Other done

Put some books on the tracker that I am going to try and read in the challenge. My first audio that I’m going for is Jane Eyre I’ve also got The Travelling Cat Chronicles ready to go.
