1. What sort of stuff do you like in your horror books? Do you like the slow pacing here?
Horror is not a go to genre for me, I do like a psychological build up in horror. I’m enjoying the mystery so far
2. What do you think of the sister's and their relationship with each other?
Whatever happened to them has bound them in a way that is not necessarily healthy
3. We are getting hints about the strangeness around the Hollow girls, and at what happened to them. What are your suspicions? Would you be like Cate with her daughters, and not push at the memories overtly or dig actively?
There is definitely something otherworldly about them which Cate suspects and fears. If she were to push at the memories I think her fears would be confirmed
4. The descriptions (of Grey's clothing in particular!) is very atmospheric. Are you enjoying the descriptive language used?
I like the descriptive narrative, it sets the tone of the novel

1. Just here for the points, or was this one on your radar already? Is horror a genre you usually read, or is this an opportunity for you to go outside your comfort zone?
I have that many books on my TBR this was nowhere near but always willing to get some extra points. I do read the occasional horror novel but admittedly it is not my go to genre
2. This book starts as I suspect it means to continue: Bleak, dark and with a hefty dollop of misery. Do you like it when a book starts in the middle of the action, or do you prefer a happy slice of life first before everything goes awry?
I enjoy both approaches and if done well can give depth to the story
3. The elk. Were you intrigued about this straight away? Did you instinctively see this as a psychological or supernatural issue?
Definitely a psychological issue, especially with an important anniversary nearing. It will be good to see how this pans out
4. What do you think so far? Anything standing out that you really like or don’t like?
Too early to say, obviously something went wrong 10 years ago in relation to the elk hunt but not entirely sure what.

Our new word is EGYPTIAN CRUISE

Yep these are covered

This would go under P as this is the author’s last name. If the name was hyphenated then it would be the initial of the first name before the hyphen.
Eg: Alexander McCall Smith would be S
Susan Kiernan-Lewis would be K
