ME TOO! We have threads for a couple of her series, but I wanted an author thread for this one instead.I'm SO excited for these!!
Sure does 😆 And, Robb mentioned it briefly in one of the mini interview episodes. I've been really lucky that there have only been very small spoilers in those so far. 😬🤞🏼
It was. I really like this series, but I'm also anxious for
, which was very briefly mentioned in this installment 😊
I felt compelled to put all the quotes that resonated into it 😉 Something about that installment was off for me, but I think it was just a me-thing. Right?! They are a hoot and I feel their respect for eachother's love of Roarke will eventually bring them closer.
In Faith Hunter's recent newsletter, she shared:I can finally announce that my publisher has given me a three book contract! All new books. This was announced in PW (Publishers Weekly) today. This is the one sentence announcement, but below that is my description, because I want you to have MUCH MORE!!!!
New York Times bestselling author Faith Hunter’s UNPREDICTABLE MAGIC, about a witch and her brother who run a private investigation firm solving supernatural crimes in Chattanooga, to Jessica Wade at Ace, in a three-book deal, for publication in summer 2026, by Lucienne Diver at The Knight Agency (World English).

Now the skinny on book one, UNPREDICTABLE MAGIC (summer of 2026): Angelina and EJ, together, own and run Everhart Investigations in downtown Chattanooga TN, 20 years after the end of the Jane Yellowrock series, and a few years after the Witch War, which was primarily fought in the EU Lots of magic, futuristic tech, lots of fighting. A little romance. This book is written and has been rewritten twice. It will receive another rewrite, or three, I’m sure before you see it. But—remember all my hints about Walter? My vampire crush, Walter, is in this book. The coolest thing is that, although it isn’t in the Yellowrock world, per se, you will get hints about the Dark Queen’s world and life.
Book two, UNTITLED (2027?): Wealthy, beautiful, international financial banking expert, Clementine Montgomery, discovers her fiancé is cheating on her with several women, and is also working for the magical mob. Clementine sends all the evidence she can find to the police and then disappears, back into the hill country north of Greenville SC. Once there, she discards the persona and ID she lived under for ten years in New York City, and reclaims the identity she left behind when she turned eighteen. She becomes, once again, Clemmy Boswell, truck-driving, tattooed, semi-wild child, with green streaked hair, who moves in with her batty, magic wielding Aunt Mable, Mable’s wing of mini-dragons, and her trip of miniature flying goats. The mob will never find her. Except … Perhaps they will. This is the most lighthearted book I have ever written. I am about halfway done and it is healing my writer’s soul.
Book three, UNTITLED (2028?). No idea about this book. I haven’t even thought about it.
All three books will be in audio. No idea what company, narrator, nothing. But I have been waiting for 18 months to tell y’all this! I am really psyched!
Squeeee 🤩 I cannot wait!!
