I love this series so very much. Action, suspense, love, steamy scenes and lots of huge super manly vampires. Dark Lover is book one in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is a group of warrior vampires in charge of protecting the vampire race from their enemies, Vampire hunters with no souls called "Lessers".
The Brotherhood is the sexiest group ever. All the warriors are described in detail as being very tall, very built and very handsome. They are full of honor and tons of testosterone. My favorite thing about these vampires is their traditions and rituals. I also have read many vampire books and these vampire's "rules" (no sunlight, can still eat and drink, only need blood from a female vampire) are my favs.
Dark Lover is Wrath and Beth's love story and the chemistry they have is amazing, it doesn't hurt that they are both stunningly described, both gorges/sexy of course. But we get great introduction to the other "Brothers" and all their individual personalities and inner demons. These guys are all so darn attractive. I recommend it for anyone who wants a good sexy read with a fast paced action plot.

Review:
I had high expectations for this book, and it met all of them. It was a fast easy read, with plenty of action, suspense, and sparse but meaningful foreshadowing. I loved the dystopian setting and didn't find it like Hunger Games as I have heard to many people compare it to.
The book isn't broken down into parts, but basically has three, the intro into Tris (Beatrice) and who she is where she comes from and the intro of the four main fractions (divided by personal character) where everyone in her world lives according to which fraction they "fit into". I spent the first 10% of this book re-looking up each fraction and what they mean, I'm not sure why it took me so long to grasp each one, but I finally caught on. Tris is a "divergent" meaning she could fit into more then one faction and seems to have some special abilities that someone who isn't Divergent wont posses. The second and longest "part" of this book follows Tris during her initiation and training into the fraction "Dauntless" one in which she wasn't born into....Super suspenseful and I was never sure what was going to happen next, Plus this is where we see the "love story" part of this book emerge. The third "part" of this book brings to a light what most of the slight foreshadowing throughout this book was about and was by far very action packed and felt like everything happened at once, but not too fast to grasp.
There are many unanswered questions which I do not feel frustrated by, because I assume that's what the rest of the series is for! I really enjoyed the fact that it took Tris a long time to become a "Kick Ass Heroine", she didn't just start kicking butts and taking names, it took her a lot of intense mental and psychical training and figuring out who she is, to get to where she was in the end of the book. I am already so engrossed in this story as a whole, I couldn't put Divergent down until I finished it and can guarantee I will continue with this series.
