ODA: There are people who doesn't find Dan Brown books entertaining.

32418 started reading...

Inferno (Robert Langdon, #4) by Dan Brown

I love Dan Brown's Robert Langdon series. I know many people hate it, but its a pretty good series. So far I'm really enjoying the book!

32418 I actually have this book. Need to rummage around my parents home to find it. I read it a few years back. From what I recall I enjoyed the plot, but that was before I read great books.

32418 HEIDI: I guess you can say its post-apocalyptic. There was a virus that infect the whole world. When you die your body gets "rebooted", but now your stronger, faster, leaner and basically a fighting machine. The downside is the longer you're dead the less human you are. The government used this to their advantage making the teens into fighting machines, but they kill the adults because they are less likely to take orders.

The whole book is about Wren, the longest reboot, and Callum the shortest reboot and their relationship and growing attraction. They also start to fight the system because of humanitarian issues? I haven't gotten around to that part yet.

As for me liking it, its ok. Its actually not what I thought it would be. I thought this book would be more like Cinder rather than a zombie type of book, cause that's what the reboots are, technically.

32418 I just finished our book read for the month ^_^

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #1) by Ransom Riggs
32418 KRISTEN: I was just looking at your spoilers now and I agree on your first point! That part reminded me of a Futurama episode, when they traveled back in time and Fry became his own grandfather. hahahahahaha...
32418 I finished the book last night. Although it wasn't what I expected, it was good. Not the best literature, but it was interesting enough.

One of the major reasons why I gave the book a 2.5 was because it felt like the author was revolving the story around the pictures rather than the pictures around the story. For me, the story seemed choppy whenever he introduced a picture. The story is flowing nicely and then he would produce an unnecessary paragraph just so he could show a picture. This annoyed me a lot
32418 I just started reading the book. It wasn't what I expect it to be.

32418 BECKY: It does get darker, but all still well written. I haven't finished reading the whole series, but you should at least read the next two books, they're just as gripping and captivating as the first. The series is similar to the HP books. It always end in a good note, but there is a bigger picture that needs to be resolved.
