Johnny shook his head. "No, no, I'm good." He stretched his arms out and kept walking.

"I don't know. We'll find someplace, start a fire, and set up for the night." Johnny shrugged and readjusted the weight on his shoulders.

"Yeah. I was one of the few people he got along with. Actually, I met Abigail through him..." Johnny trailed off again, lost in his own thoughts.

"Doesn't like people."

Johnny shrugged. "There's this kid named Lucas. He left a while ago. He's a little bit.... surly and misanthropic."

"Oh." Johnny looked back at the dark horizon. "Her name was Abigail."

Johnny looked at her. "Who's Emmett?"

Johnny's smile melted away. "I don't know. She disappeared one day. I never saw her again. Neither did anyone else. She just... vanished off the face of the planet."

"I'm sorry. Nope, never had one. Well... that's a lie. I did have one, in the years between age twelve and fifteen." Johnny smiled a little bit. "She was the sweetest girl in the world. She had curly dark brown hair, brown eyes, the sweetest smile..." he trailed off.

Johnny just kept walking for a minute or so, then took her hand again. "It's okay."

Johnny just walked along in silence.

"Because she said she was happy. And she had money. And I don't have the right to take that away from her."

"She liked living with her dad, and I like living alone. It gives me freedom." Johnny sighed. "But I do miss her, at times. Or, more like, all the time."

"Yeah, every once in a while. Around town."

"You know where I'm from... we were just there..."

This is stuff to help with character creation, and a general background.
This group takes place in the year 2003, forty-three years after the nuclear war on November 13th, 1960. The war lasted three days, wiping out every continent except Antarctica(which is now a huge desert) and Australia(where everyone is safe, but scared). This takes place in Northern Europe, in what used to be Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, the far east/north area of the USSR, and the sea around them(which has long since dried). The entire area is a huge desert, with no building for miles at most times. Have fun!

The town options for Hometowns are:
Small Cities
Rimmington(located on the ocean, on of the only places with any money worth talking about. Also the end of the known world),
Dalen(located in a valley in Norway, about thirty miles from Rimmington),
Sven(named after it's founder, about three miles from Dalen, uphill),
Innsmouth(the only settlement of the people who still consider themselves 'British'),
Koppland(the town is actually technically a territory of Innsmouth, but has long since stopped referring to themselves and British),
Dre and Snoop(a town, larger then most of the rest of the small towns, and the only one that still has Music as a big role in it's culture),
Owlwood(another small town, located in the only snowy region remaining of Norway).


Big Cities
Moscow(just ruins of what it once was, the Kremlin is now the main bulk of the city),
Chernobyl(also in the ruins, ironically the only place where radiation sickness is very rare),
Aldearstead(a huge, walled town. The biggest in the entire remaining world, at 12 miles across).

Johnny looked at Autumn. "England? That place was completely obliterated! England is now a hole in the ground! How did you get here?"
