((Well, not what Johnny said. But Dalaiah was asking me stuff like that.))"I didn't want to go. I was twelve, I was old enough to live on my own."
((This reminds me almsot exactly of a conversation I was having about an hour ago. If that.))Johnny shrugged, letting go of her hand. "I dunno. Never knew my mom, my dad said she was killed in a building collapse, but I never knew for sure. I believe him, though. He got a job and moved to a nicer house, bringing my sister with him. She was seven at the time, now she's twelve."
"I brought enough." He smiled and looked ahead again. "What do you want to know? I haven't had a very interesting life..."
Johnny looked down at their hands, then met her eyes, smiling. He shook his head clear. "What? Oh.... um.... let's go with.... I'm guessing about two weeks? But I have no idea."
((It's okay.))Johnny shrugged. "Who knows? No one's ever come back. Don't even know if anyone's ever made it." He looked at her again. "That's why I brought you. So I won't get lonely."
"To see what's there. There are stories of a Civilization, even more advanced than all the pre-war countries combined. A huge city that glistens in the sunlight, glows in the darkness. They have transport, medicine, weaponry, money, food, livestock... and they even live longer than forty years!" Johnny got sort of a dreamy look on his face. He took Autumn's hand, continuing to talk. "And I want to bring you there, to share all the sights and smells and tastes with me. It's no fun alone."
((To Anna, Autumn wasent waiting for it, but just took the chance and sprintid behind him running as fast as she could, in a momment she was beside him and not daring to look back. "Where are we going?" She asked him.((Where exactly are we?)) ))
"The other side of the Lonesome Road," he said with a grin.
Johnny nodded and looked around once more. "On my mark get ready to run..." when he saw no one was looking, he said "GO!" And started running.
((It's okay.))"It is nice to meet you, Autumn Brown." Johnny smiled, then turned back to the gate. "Ready?"
((Oh. It has an important backstory...))"Johnny. Johnny B. Goode, at your service, ma'am," he said, mock bowing.
Johnny nodded. "Yeah, everyone lives in a place like this. Look around, that's all there is." He nodded. "Yeah, this is all I own, so let's go!" He made his way to the town gate.((Did you read the READ THIS FIRST bit?))
Johnny stopped when he got to yet another shack that had been repaired with cardboard, cans, and broken metal. He opened what appeared to be a door and grabbed a bag from inside it. He closed it again and swung the bag over his shoulder. "All right, let's go."
((All right!))"Well, I gotta stop by home and get a few things, and then we can head for the crossroads."
((You just need some practice.))Johnny smiled, picking up his guitar and standing. "All right. I was going to leave in a few days, but because of you, we can leave right away."
((These aren't rules, these are just standard format.))Johnny nodded. He looked around, then whispered to her, "I'm leaving on an Adventure, to the Lonesome Road. I want to get to the other side. Will you go with me?"
