I loved [book:The Name of the Rose, Eco is not usually an easy read but I devoured that one!

I am currently reading 4 books, maybe I should say 3 because I have a feeling Eat, Pray, Love will remain unfinished, I'm on page 120, I haven't picked it up in over a month, and I really can't seem to motivate myself to keep on reading... I've almost finished The Outlaw Demon Wails which is actually better than the previous "Hollows" novels, I'll comment on it once I'm finished which should be any day now. I'm half way through Toutes ces choses qu'on ne s'est pas dites and about a third through Mister Pip. And I do have to reread Jane Eyre because it's been a while... No wonder I don't have enough Time to read, see what I get myself into!

Thank you both Joy and Lisa! I love Montreal so I am affraid I couldn't give you an objective opinion of the city! As for my daughter, she's wonderful and is learning to be a little more independant every day (I'm sure I'll miss the needy days eventually)! I'm hoping to join all of you in discussion soon!

Hi everyone, I'm Vicky. I'm in Montreal, work full time and have a 3 and a half years old daughter and I'm trying very hard to find more time to read. I became a mother late in life and am delighted with it but badly need some Vicky time which I'm sure all the mothers out there understand. I have read a lot of classics but perhaps not the same ones you have?! In university I studied French litterature and linguistic (although that was a looong time ago). I'm interested in rereading some of them and hoping to read some I haven't read as well. My interests are diversified, so you'll catch me reading all kinds of things and I'll try to keep the spelling mistakes at a minimum but English is a second language.
