Good hunting! The works are really worth having.

Do you dream every night? I've never heard of anyone doing that.

Hi Joseph, do you have volumes 1 & 2 of the Bruce Catton Civil War trilogy? They make a big contribution to any historical library.

You should write down your version... it might just be better.

Melanie, good to see that you also but male writers too.

Occasionally I dream about what I read but I think it has more to do with the writer or subject rather than my schedule or daily life.

It looks like it will be a summer of love and romance for you!

Melanie, do you think this is enough to get you through the summer?

Popular and contemporary (vocal) music has the same effect on my reading concentration. That is why I specified classical music as a reading stimulant. It helps cover-up the sounds of daily life that inevitably surround me during the day and night. Men (in general) aren’t really known for their abilities at multi-tasking but this seems to be my exception to the rule.

I have always seemed to read faster to classical music. The music seems to create a reading rhythm conductive for speed and increased understanding.

I guess I'll have to look into that.

They seldom sell any of their books. On occasion, I have bought books from the Rotterdam library but they are generally falling apart.

The libraries in Holland collect books. If the books are a little worse for wear, they renovate and repair them for continual service on the front line. If they were ever put up for sale, the buyer would have to claim them page for page.

Summer is here so I bought

I've read much on this site about the books and their author. I hope they measure up to all of the positivity shared by so many members.
PS. I also bought hard copies of

Today I faced the living daytime nightmare of many men. My wife announced that WE were going shopping. Don’t misunderstand me, I enjoy going out with her but when she enters a department or clothing store, I cease to exist. Her eyes widen and her pupils dilate to accommodate all around her and I disappear. The first store I wait patiently as she browses the different clothing racks, drinking everything in with her eyes. We exit the store forty-five minutes later without even a bag for our time and troubles and she immediately enters the next store to repeat the process.
One is my limit. I pride myself on my patience but a clothes shopping with a woman is beyond endurance. After repeated attempts to break her singly focused concentration I finally receive a positive response and suggest we go our separate ways and meet later at a specified place and time. Being an unnoticed anchor in her day’s quest, she readily agrees. At last! I’m cut loose and I can browse and pursue my interests. I promptly radar in on a book market and time flies. I bought

I bought all of the above for under 10 Euros, easing the pain I was greeted with when I met up again with my wife.
