I read
My Fair Concubine which is set in Ancient China. I enjoyed it!

Super duper late to this challenge but I finally finished
The Night Mark. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, even if it was not perfect. I think I would recommend it. It's tough at the beginning (the character is seriously depressed) but it's romantic af and you end up feeling satisfied.

I'm super behind on this challenge (whomp) I'm going to read
Circe for this month.

I really loved the Neopolitan series by Elena Ferrante (the first book being
My Brilliant Friend).
For this month's challenge, I'm between
The Group or
84, Charing Cross Road. It'll probably be 84 Charing Cross Road because that one is available now in my library.

I think I'm going to read
The Night Mark because I already got it from the library, but if I'm not feeling it, then I'm going to read
What the Wind Knows.

I got
Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup on Audible with some leftover credits and OMG it was addicting. I ignored people and did extra chores around the house just to keep listening to it. It is WILD just thinking about how far Elizabeth and Sunny got on false promises and lies. I would definitely recommend it, it is infinitely better and more detailed than the HBO documentary.

I read
99 Percent Mine and it was ok. I think the author had a lot to live up to after The Hating Game and this book didn't quite get there for me. It was still enjoyable to read, though.

I have a collection of romance novels on my kindle that I've never gotten around to reading:
Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase,
Act Like It by Lucy Parker,
My Fair Concubine by Jeannie Lin,
Forbidden by Beverly Jenkins,
The Thing About Love by Julie James and
The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. So I'm sure it'll be one of those, lol.

I read
The Sun Is Also a Star and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I was scared of reading it because it feels too close to home (being an immigrant, not knowing where you truly belong, etc) but it was worth it to me.

I had a hard time choosing but I think I'm going with
The Sun Is Also a Star for this challenge.

I don't particularly enjoy dystopian books (they depress me). I was going to read
Station Eleven but someone on ONTD told me it's not a good book to read if you suffer form anxiety. I kept looking and found
Green Heart which caught my attention so I'm hoping it's good.

[book:This Body's Not Big Enough for Both of Us|38..."I've added you! I'm lapetite on ONTD and I'm also mainly a lurker until a book post shows up :)

I don't think I've ever read a cozy mystery so I'm trying my luck with
Murder in G Major.

I just remembered I had bought
Act Like It some months ago and it fits with the theme so that'll be my pick for this month!
Jessica wrote: "Miss Buncle's Book was SO fun! 100 recommend for the summer! Reading the sequel now :)"Agreed! It was nutty and cute all at the same time. It took me a while to get through because it was really slow at the beginning and the perspective changing so violently but I'm glad I stuck with it.

Super late but I'm catching up slowly. I read
Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America. It was super easy to listen to (I got the audiobook) and made me laugh at times. I love having someone speak about their life, their family, and their culture.

Super late to this but I just finished
Cuckoo Song. It was REALLY good.
Undine wrote: "I'm gonna read The Murder of Roger Ackroyd! I'm also gonna do Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (and its sequel because that's the edition I bought.)"I didn't know
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes featured an unreliable narrator. I'm definitely making it my choice for April.
