The purpose of this group is to read and discuss books, not to do advertising.
However, some authors want to find new readers and we have no problem with that. Just keep in mind that everybody isn't interested and that spam is not authorized (posts will be deleted).

You can introduce your book in this folder, creating a new topic.

The 52 topics for the "Intentional" Christian Reading Challenge (1 new)

We'll read one book each week, all along the year. You can't change the topics, but you're free to choose whatever book you're interested in for each topic.

It's better if you create your own plan (using "create a new topic" and choosing "2017 Plans" for the folder) so you can keep track of your progress and share your choices with the other members. If you need help to find ideas, you can have a look at the Suggestions for weekly topics.

Then you have a "new topic" link at the top right.

Add links to books in your Plan list: When you are putting in your comment, at the top of the box is Add book/author. Click on that to add your book as a link or a picture. Link is better.

To Access Your newly created plan easily: add a link to it in your profile. So you'll just need to click on your profile picture to find it:

For 2018, we will have the same 52 topics as we had for 2017, however, you can modify the challenge to suit your christian reading goals.

If you are more of a LIGHT reader and feel you can commit to reading 1 book every 4 weeks, then choose 13 of the categories you would like to read.

If you feel you can read 1 book every 2 weeks, then you are an AVID reader of this challenge. Choose 26 of the categories you would like to read.

If you are a faster reader or just have more time to devote to this challenge by reading 1 book every week, then you are the COMMITTED, reader of this challenge. Read a book from each of the 52 categories - 1 per week.

If you want to be SUPER CHALLENGED, then choose two different books for each category - 2 books per week.

So create your own plan from the 52 topics. You can't change the topics, but you can choose whatever book (or audiobook) you are interested in for each topic.

You can read in order or jump around, but keep this order in the plan, as we are using the numbers to quickly find a topic.

My name is Alina and welcome to the ~~2017~~ 2018 52-week "Intentional" Christian Reading Challenge! I created this group because my friend told me she wanted to do "intentional" christian reading for the year. The Lord laid it on my heart to create a group for this type of challenge. I've never created a group before or been a moderator, so please bear with me as I try to do my best to make this a fun and learning/growth challenge.
I love the Lord and I love to read! I hope this challenge will appeal to those who feel the same and want to grow closer to Christ. I am a 50-something wife to a loving husband, a mother to 3 daughters (ages ~~11-17~~ 12-18), and a software engineer in my real job. My favorite genre is probably historical christian fiction, although I love to read almost anything except smut or horror. My other favorite hobby is quilting. I will just say that I am Never bored!

About this Group - UPDATED for 2018 (1 new)

In 2017, I created this reading challenge group because of my friend Jacquie. I asked if she would like to join me in the Around the Year in 52 Books group challenge. I had participated in that challenge for a few years and really enjoyed it. My dear christian friend declined joining with me and said she wanted to do more "intentional" christian reading for the year. The Lord laid this on my heart to create a group for this type of challenge.

In 2017, the challenge was for 52 weeks, read a book each week that helps you in some way as Christians to grow closer to Christ. This is what my friend meant by "intentional reading".

CHANGES for 2018: The 52 week goal of 2017 may have been a bit high for many of us, including myself who failed miserably even though I created this group! So, for 2018, we will have the same 52 topics, however, you can modify the challenge to suit your christian reading goals.
