50x66 I'm still in my reading slump but I have read more recently and I'm hoping this new book I started yesterday will help pull me out of it as was as some Secret Santas I'm involved in. Not moving fast on my remodeling but the plasterers finished their work and it is now up to me (well, my sister) to paint and lay new tiles on the floor. Then I can buy new book cases and make up my library. But for now December's books:

1. Read a book whose title starts with G.
2. It's the holiday season, so read a book about a holiday you celebrate at this time of year.
3. Winter starts on the 21st so read a book about winter or with the word winter in the title.
4. While I hesitate to recommend books, I'm going to recommend you read THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER by Barbara Robinson. It's a favorite of mine.
5. With all the celebrating and parties this month, read a book about food or a party.
6. Read a book that's been made into a Hallmark movie.
7. Since this is supposed to be the happiest time of the year, read a book about happiness.
8. December 15 is National Wear Your Pearls Day so read a book with pearls on the cover.

I enjoyed some of the Maggie Sefton series. Haven't read them all yet but I will eventually.

50x66 Sorry about the delay. I am in a reading slump and do not know how to get out of it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I also had surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago for kidney stones. I'm healing but tired and haven't felt like being on the internet. Add to that I am having 3 ceilings replastered and I am not having fun right now. But enough about me, I hope you are all doing well and reading as we had down the path to the end of the year. So on to November's challenge:

1. Read a book whose title begins with F.
2. Read a book about something you are grateful for.
3. Read a book set during the 1910's since Veteran's Day is this month.

I have to admit I was not a fan of Bridget Jones' Diary. She was too angsty. Maybe I'm just too old for these types of books. The movie was better but then again it did have Colin Firth.

50x66 I have got to recommend AT THE TABLE OF WOLVES by Kay Kenyon. I loved it. I call it a paranormal WWII era spy thriller. I was on the end of my seat as Kim, the protagonist, is trying to be a spy but not very successful at it. Germany is planning an attack on Britain but it will not be by traditional methods. She learns what they are up to but she does not know who to trust. I could understand her feelings because I was questioning others motives and could they be a turncoat. This is a keeper.
